I've used the international editions for my classes too and they are the same, just a paperback version instead of a heavy book! And they are usually 1/2 the price of the school store if not more! I always check at half.com as soon as the book list goes up! My school is really good about getting the book list up asap.

At my school they required at 60 on both math and reading up till the end of summer. Then they changed it to 65 on both. I took the test this past summer and scored a 88 on Math and 63 on reading. I felt the reading was harder because your brain is drained from doing the math 1st and I wanted to get the test over to get out of there. But each school's requirements are different. I would recommend getting the Net Text practice book. If you need one I still have mine and would sell it you for $10. PM me and I'll send you information.

If you've never had chemistry before it can be tough. Chemistry isn't like other sciences and I found it difficult. (Could have been the professor. No one liked him!) I am taking Chemistry over this semester and getting a A so far. I studied my butt off for Chemistry but got a C, A&P, however I studied less and got an A. I have a different teacher this semester and I am doing much better. If you don't do as well as you like look to learn all that you can so your next go round is easier.

Was there more to this problem than this? I have in my notes the specific heat of water is 1.0 cal/gC.

I took the net test in June and it was as everyone described. I focused so much on the math I nearly flunked the reading comprehension. Thankfully I passed. I reviewed the reading parts in the book and scored a 85 on my worst and 95 on the other. On the test I ended up with a 63. The test is much harder than the book for the reading part. No problem with the math part. Very straight forward and easy to study for.

I'm taking: Chemistry on-line (all summer) Writing (3 weeks left) last undergrad pre-req! 2nd half of summer: Intro to Anthro. (sounded interesting) Nutrition

Anyone taking Chemistry Online before? I have to this summer and my school uses NOVA Net online program for the instruction portion. Anyone have experience with this type of program before?

I have to take the NET test. Has anyone taken it? Can you give me some pointers? I have the practice book, and a friend is taking it also so we are going to study together. Any other tips would be greatly appreciated.

Did you take only A&P2 and micro w/labs; or did you take other classes with these two? That's my concern that I am planning on taking other classes too and I don't want bad grades in my sciences. I can drop the other classes if I need to, but I'd like to work on a minor degree too.

This past spring semester I took 18 credits and did very well. I got an A in A&P 1 lecture & lab as well. I don't have kids, I work at a computer lab on campus (which means I can study while I work) about 10 hrs a week and I have a very supportative partner who helps me with my flash cards. I just want some reasurances that I'm not biting off more than I can chew. And I want to finish off as many sciences as I can before application time.

It would be the lecture only. I can't fit the lab portion in my schedule for the fall semester so I would have to take the lab by itself in the spring. I study hard and my A&P professor said "You can do it, but maybe not some others". I thought that was so reasuring, he's seen me study my butt off and spend lots of extra time in the lab before tests. Thanks for the info! :)

Am I crazy for thinking of doing A&P 2 and Micro (lecture only) for the fall? I was told by my advisor to take as many science classes as possible before the end of Decemember to increase my chance for acceptance to nursing school's January application. Classes that I maybe enrolled in for the Spring 07 won't be looked at or considered; only completed classes. Any input you all can give me would be appreciated!

WOO HOO! I finished! I ended up with a 95 in lecture and 94 in lab! Now off to summer school.

Good job on the test. I wish our professor would give us hints to the problems. I'm finishing the pre-req chem today with the final and I start the "real" chemistry this summer in 2 weeks! I just want this class to be over.
