Does anyone know what is the financial aid is like for accelerated nursing programs at well-known schools such as NYU, UPenn, Columbia and Duke?
I know that federal grants are out of the question for second bachelor’s degrees and master’s programs. But, can I expect any substantial institutional grants and/or scholarships at any of them? I was previously eligible for the Pell Grant for my first undergrad degree, to give a baseline of my finances, and for comparison.
I’d ideally like to know this information before I spend hours on applications, and paying hundreds in application fees. It just doesn’t make sense for me to submit an application if finances will be an issue from the get-go. I'm not expecting to get a full ride, but hoping for a good percentage to be covered. Hoping some of you will share your experiences.

The place to direct these and related questions is not, alas, necessarily us in an online community, but the financial aid office of your target colleges/universities. FA officers often have funds that nobody applied for, ideas about things you could do to be eligible for others, and a boundless enthusiasm for getting money to students. They know far, far more of the ins and outs of this system than we do. Give them a call and make an appointment to visit with one. You'll be glad you did.

Highly unlikely to get a substantial sponsorship of any kind at those types of institutions. That’s like asking if there’s a discount on a Louis Vuitton bag or Cartier watch. Um no. It only gets pricier.

You’re mistaken. Received private messages on another forum from a few students who are currently in the one of the listed programs, or have been in one of them.
Based on these messages, at least a couple of the schools would give need-based aid that I would say is substantial (up to half the price of tuition).
Suggest you stop spreading misinformation - especially if you don’t know what you’re talking about.

Thanks for letting me know. This is actually useful for me to know as well.

Just sharing my current experience.. I have my BA and MBA and started an ABSN program this year. For Summer, I was able to get the full federal loan amount available for a 2nd bachelor($12,500 in a combo sub/unsub). The total available per school YEAR is $12,500.. so for fall and Spring 21-22, that is split across the two equally. The balance is to be made up with private funding. I am in TX and qualified for the HH Cal loan which is considered a state supported CAL - College Access Loan at a low rate - first semester was 4.5% and the latest is 3.6%. Hope this helps cause this stuff is expensive!!

It is a message board on All Nurses. Chances are there is "misinformation" all over. Just because you got "private messages" does not make that any more accurate than anything else or more "true".

Sounds like you need to learn how to pick through posts better if that's your stance. The post I quoted was clearly speculating...which was why I said it was misinformation.
And for the record, the private messages I received were not from All Nurses. The platform I got messages from has way more credible and dedicated posters.
If it also makes you feel better, some of the FA offices did corroborate the same information I received in the private messages.

Hi! The FA offices that you've contacted will have the most reliable information. Look into the merit-based scholarships that the schools you're interested in have; some may have a minimum GPA or test score. Good luck!
