  1. Quite disturbing to hear you received such ill treatment leading to tears in a bathroom. My former mentors would be shocked to hear that kind of comment. I do not think so, since I have been treated with respect and trained right. But I do agree it is not for those who do not have to subject themselves to such treatment (not doing it for their kids or have huge financial burdens, etc). I can understand those who must do their careers in a certain way due to their life constraints.
  2. I have not tried much yet. We shall find out if it is much of a hinderance or not. I’m starting to think it might not be. I tried to inquire about one at most but due to the extremely low acceptance rate and high ranking of the program they said it is unlikely.
  3. Long term wise they never do. They probably fall in love with me actually. Probably the short term ones or ones unlucky enough to not get me will insult me because they are jealous.
  4. It is very interesting how America is becoming a collective society more than ever. Quite unlike the individualistic society it has already been for so many years.
  5. I believe you are mixing up someone else’s story of another individual they know and mine into one opinion.
  6. Yes, it was bad of me to respond. Patients have never touched my nerve before. Patients are in a weak state and don’t go around insulting those helping them in my opinion. As long as I am helpful, I’ve never been insulted. So I am not really understanding how it correlates to eachother.
  7. Well said. I congratulate you on accepting your character deficits and making the best of them.
  8. That’s fine. It’s no different than retail. You help every customer waiting in line. You never really know any of them, but you provide mediocre customer service to all equally.
  9. Polly - you are spreading misinformation about the application process and it reflects poorly on your ability to properly guide any potential student during their application process. You should refrain from misguiding those much younger than you in any form.
  10. Wow! I would never work in such a place. I want to be a private nurse.
  11. That’s so sad! I would probably over pity them. But that’s different than someone being mean to me. I think rude people probably need to settle for subpar care or possibly none at all.
  12. The vaccine can be scary, I suppose, if one is stricken by fear of anything medical related. It’s not uncommon to be afraid of needles even in grown adults. It makes me think half the population is full of hypochondriacs if they think the vaccine they are handing out like free candy is going to hurt them. Obviously, it’s not recommended for some, but generally it won’t kill anyone. Not saying that the vaccine is anything like candy at all.
  13. Isn’t this a good thing overall? If they are leaving then that means they found someplace else to go.
  14. Thanks for letting me know. This is actually useful for me to know as well.
