basically, the title says it all. i know there are other existing threads related to this and helped me a lot in planning for my goal. however, those threads are already so saturated. and i want to call out those who are in the same boat. (1.) a nursing grad w/o experience (2) wants to study in australia ... so those who are planning, already applying, or already studying in australia, do share your ideas and experiences, and help shed light or give support. thanks. :)
as of now, i'm still processing my passport and my next step will be the ielts review
i still don't know if i'll pursue the bp or the one year nursing study in oz. what's the difference anyway? isn't it more convenient to just pursue the bp? why do others choose to study for one year in the university? what's the main advantage?

Hello everyone! I am also planning to study in Australia. I do not have any idea how the process goes. Will somebody give me some information about this? I heard that you need a bank account which exists more than 6 months. It so happened that I do not have one. Please help me out of this thing. Thank you very much!

you can take the 2-3 months bridging program even if you have zero experience (my friend you has zero experience has been approved by ahpra) then you can be an RN in oz and start looking for employers

go to the international section of http://www.ahpra.gov.au

ahpra is the governing body in oz that registers nurses and other health care workers.

in short, you need to obtain nursing registration in oz (through the bridging program) to be able to work there

Are u sure that it's only 2-3 months bridging program even if I have no experience? coz some says for those who have no expereience, it usually takes 1-2 years for them to study in australia. Im really clueless. Hope you'll reply. :)

yes bridging is only 2-3 months long in nsw and vic. i guess if you're a fresh grad, they'll let you do the bridging even without experience.

uupppp for this.. experience would only be counted if it's paid. unfortunately, I only had 9 months of volunteer as a staff nurse.

I know there are a lot of agencies who would readily assist you on this, but with the PF of Php70 - 80,000. It's a lot and I'd like to be able to save that money since studying in Australia would be very expensive. Any suggestion guys? APHRA site seems to be down too..

thanks for the info @ceridwenRN. may i ask how much money will i spend for that 2-3mos BP? am i eligible for 20hr/week part-time work? thanks
