Is it too early to start a thread like this? LOL
I'll be finishing up my pre-requisites this fall, and then applying in the spring for the Summer 2010 session. I still need to study for the NAT and actually take the exam and take a CPR course. I'm considering getting my CNA and trying to find work in healthcare to get my foot in the door.
I am so nervous about the whole process, nervous about whether I should try to work and go to school, and especially nervous if this is something I can handle. I am afraid of all the responsibility.
Anyone else planning for next Summer? What is your process looking like, what are your thoughts/feelings?
I also got my letter today. I was 102 of 385 applicants and 96 got in... They also took the lower of the 2 possible ways to calculate my points... So now I know, they take the highest TOTAL Academic Aptitude over all points on the NAT but not the highest points from each area of the Academic Aptitude... Still there was only 6 people between 197.96 and 194.68... That's not bad... Hurry 6 more people decline your seats ASAP.
The letter also says there was an information session today at 10:00am... glad I got this letter afterwards... :hdvwl: Actually I had a 10:30 appointment with an advisor at Kent campus that helped me out a little. She IS letting me retake Sociology but only because I took it at another school and it was the same year they supposedly changed the rules regarding retaking passing grades... Yeah for me being old... lol I also am taking a different humanties course this summer... I probably don't need to do either, since I am so close in points but IF I don't get in Fall term, this gives me 9 more points for Spring Applications. If I only do Sociology, it would still boost me just over 200 pts. So why not give myself the extra wiggle room?
