I know it is kind of early to start this thread but I thought maybe there were some others out there who are planning on applying for fccj/fscj fall 2010 RN program. Hope you will post on this thread!
Here's the 150% form if anyone needs it:

Did it tell you in Connections that you needed that form? I don't see anything in mine but I would be highly surprised if I didn't need it too, lol.
You should be able to know by now if they are going to give them to you or not. Did you fill out your FAFSA? After you fill it out, it will take a couple days to send the info to FSCJ and under your artemis account you will be able to see financial aid status.
No I haven't applied for any loans or even nursing school yet. I just had never heard of that and was trying to figure out whats going on
Yes. Please this term. I don't want to take filler classes just so I don't burn through my grace period and have to start repaying student loans. And, yes, mama was right :) I wish I hadn't waited so long to go back to school and decide on a path, but......spilled milk. Maybe we'll hear tomorrow.
That's funny, my kids spilled milk this morning. I had to apologize to them for getting upset and fussing. Heck, my wife says it was my fault for letting them leave the kitchen with it. I had to tell her the two most important words for a happy marriage....
Wait for it....
Yes Dear.
I didn't see it on there either. Try getting it from your connections account or call Carolyn from my earlier post.
Does anyone know how long it takes for them to process an apeal form? I tried calling Carolyn 3 times and just keep getting voice mail. I'm just worried because I'm in New Orleans for the Summer, I came to see my husband because he will be here for a year rebuilding the levees and now I have to cut my trip short just to go home and do an apeal and my kids are so upset, they thought we would be here a couple more weeks:crying2:

Typically it takes about 2 weeks. She is really good about calling back. You just have to give her a couple days. I know the last time I spoke with her (2 weeks ago) she said they where REALLY behind, so it may take more like 3 weeks. I wouldn't cut your trip short just to come back and do an apeal. It is definitally something you can take care of from there. All I did was email my forms to her and they where processed in about 2 weeks.
Wow, I just ready through all of this stuff about people struggling with financial aid. now I am REALLY FREAKING OUT! I go to UNF and I'll have 70 something credits when my summer classes are over. I work, but I've been primarily living off my loans/financial aid/scholarships. I have no idea how I would pay for my classes if I got in but got denied financial aid.
All of this stress is killing me. I think I'll have to go to FSCJ and talk to someone about this on Monday. I feel like it's so hard to get answers from anyone though. ugh.
but thanks for the info. even if it was potentially bad news, it was nice for the heads up.
I would definately apply to the LPN program. The deadline dates are the same as the RN, the first of Oct, June, and Feb. I did LPN first, have been one for 2 years and feel quite comfortable going (or trying to!) into the RN program. I would at least apply and if you don't get into the RN at least you can fall back on that, it's only a 12 month program too. Good luck :)
