Hello all! Just thought I'd start a thread for all of those folks that have submitted, or are getting ready to submit, their applications for FCCJ's Fall '08 term.
I will be submitting my application in a few weeks, when this Spring term ends. I have taken my NAT (twice), so I'm good to go there, but still need to get my CPR class done. I called several places & I'm waiting to hear back from them.
I look forward to chatting with & getting to know all of you, who will be doing the count-down with me... on getting our acceptance letters!!!
I know it helps to sound-board off each other & to lean on each other for support... especially with getting all the things done that we have to do!

I'm still waiting for word from my boss, her boss didn't think today was a good day to talk about it because it was too busy. (Or maybe they just want me to show up Monday, lol!)
awww..lol. I'm sorry. It became real to me too. I most def printed out the packets. I need all the help I can get. I'm bad at math soo I'm reading everything and will practice everything. The IV calc looks like greek..hehe. Here we go!! Well I guess we'll get our e-mail with the handbook some time next week because I contacted "Miss Emily" and I got a response from her computer stating she won't be back in the office until Monday. I guess I will be studying Dosage Calc until then. Well I hope everyone is having a good day!!!
I love math and the work didn't scare me, it is just the realization of how much work this really will be. Never mind the fretting about how to get 4 kids to 4 different places before 630am to be on time for clinicals!
:wink2: Hey guys! I have been following these threads since June, and I am happy to share the great news that I was called by the D.O.N. asking me if I am still interested in the fall program! OF COURSE!!!!
Sh esaid she had 2 seats available--and I chose the group that will be going to the Memorial Hospital for their first clinical. She was talking so fast and going over all these schedules--and I was in a state of shock because I was one of those that was just a few points away from the cut-off. I wasn't expecting to be called..and I am still in shock. There's a lot of decisions that I have to make --if I need to resign from my job...etc.
I have to pick up my packet on Monday, and I will try to get my titers and everything done the same day...
I live off of Kernan and would appreciate it if I can join the "bandwagon" also:wink2:..I know that we are going to need each others' support during the course of this program.
hey! I was one of your clients...I got called today from Cheryl--and I accepted the seat for the fall. I have a lot of things I need to get done. I am still finishing up my micro :) thank God my last day is next week.

Did you guys that looked at your blackboard community info pay for your classes already? When I click on any of the document info to try and print it, it gives me a message that says Access to the specified resource () has been forbidden. Any one else having this problem or know how I can fix it?
Yeah, I'm having the same "access denied" problem. I thought that's where the manual was. But maybe it's just another glitch, not sure. We're leaving for NY tomorrow for a week and a half. Driving...with a 15 mo old and 3 year old...yikes. Better see family before school starts, though. But that's why I probably won't be on allnurses for awhile. Have a great week, guys!

You need to enroll first. It's a tab just to the right. So, you go to Blackboard then to Community then select North campus then to the right of Nursing Student Information click enroll. Once you've done that you'll then do click enroll for Nursing Tutor North. I hope I'm making sense...
Kjl221 is right. The enroll button is to the right on the screen that says nursing tutor. Don't click nursing tutor first. Look for the enroll button and click that.
