  1. Do you still have to do the care plans with all of those shifts?
  2. I must have missed something, but what is the "email in regards to evolve"? In answer to your other question, about what books go with what... I haven't the foggiest idea... which can sometimes be a pattern with me.
  3. That is very sweet of you Miss Whitney! I will be more than happy to get you the Drug Guide book, so you would just have a few other items to get. You let me know, as I will be going up to the bookstore next Thursday. If between now and then, you can work something out with the Director as far as your tuition, I will pick it up for you then and give it to you at Part 2 of the orientation. I would be my pleasure...
  4. Melanie, I am truly saddened by all that you are going through. I wish I could win the lottery for you. Please have faith in knowing that everything you are seeking is on its way to you. Sometimes it just doesn't come when we think we need it, but it will all come to you when it is the right moment. Take a deep breath and be proud of how far you have come, so far... all of this will work out and you will be a nurse.
  5. Have a wonderful trip! Enjoy every moment of it.
  6. My husband gave me some good advice the other day. He said, "Look how many nurses there are. They went throught all of this, too. You all aren't the first and definetely won't be the last. This is all part of the process. Do you think they want a nurse that can't handle a little pressure?" So, I just keep telling myself this, when I look at that GIGANTIC stack of books. They are putting the pressure on us to see if we've got moxie. Yeah, I said it... moxie! I know all of you have moxie or we wouldn't be into page 111 of this post, that was started back in April. We are all going to great no matter what is thrown our way.
  7. When you click the "student log in" and the page opens up for you to enter your username & password, don't sign in, but rather look at the bottom of that page for the "Connections" band & click that... it will then ask you for your un & pw & from there you can click the tab on the left "read email" or something of the nature. Hope that helps... that is the only way I can get my emails.
  8. Yeah, what's up with that? I wrote down pages 12 to twenty-something, I can't read the last #, but I thought it was like 24 or 25.
  9. WOO HOO!!! I was busy being a "negative Nelly" and look what happens...
  10. Those are the only 2 you really need right now, but the Medical Terminology book comes in the boxed set thingy. So, if you want to save the $159, wait till you get your voucher from Worksource. Or, here's a thought, you could buy the Med. Term book now(out of pocket) & return the one that you get in the box. Does that make sense? I don't want to lead anyone down the wrong path, but I don't see how it matters to the bookstore.
  11. For everyone who has gotten their books... do y'all feel overwhelmed now? I sure do! Panic is starting to set in, now that I've stacked all of the books on my dining room table. I'm kinda feelin' sick to my stomach. As for the now infamous handbook we're supposed to be tested on... no sign of that still - we were warned by the Veterans about these kind of shenanigans. I was just hoping it wouldn't happen to us. LOL I crack myself up sometimes!!!
  12. The boxes have arrived! I just went to North campus & picked up my books... take a fork-lift with ya when ya go! Good heavens, to think my brain is going to be able to hold all that info.
  13. I'm pretty sure they have the books individually, but I just called again & the lady said the truck just showed up with the boxes. She got my # & is going to call me when they're all checked in. She said it would be a couple of hours though. Hope this helps... you can call the bookstore @ 766-6631.
  14. FYI: the boxed books aren't in yet. Mary at the bookstore said they "may" come in later this afternoon, around 4ish. Just thought I'd let y'all know in case y'all wanted to save some $. As y'all already know, I think they're $159 more if bought individually. I could use that $ to buy some good shoes!
  15. For anyone who may have gotten all of their books today; were the boxes ready? You know the big brown box with what I thought would be ALL the books we needed in it, but apparently we need to buy EVEN MORE books. It was "supposed" to save us some money... are they ready yet? I think the lady with the publishing company said they were going to try to have them ready by Wednesday or Thursday, but if they're ready I'll go get 'em tomorrow.
