I think that people who are concerned for the future of the U.S. knowexactly what fascism really looks like. And that anyone who doesn’t see a more autocratic leadership as a problem, would do anything to downplay the risk you are facing. The most logical guess is that he's looking for any way possible to slow this process and conceal details of his malfeasance from the public. It's also possible that Trump, in his chaotic incompetence is uncertain as to what private personal documents he may have had mixed in with federal documents. It's not like he had an orderly transition to FORMER president.
