Fall 2011 UT Houston Health Sciences hopefuls

I am a ut houston hopeful applying for the pacesetter and traditional programs for fall 2011! I will be done with my pre-req's: engl 1302 and hist 1302 this spring 2011. I plan on taking the hesi the beginning of December since the deadline for ut-houston has been changed to Jan 15. 2011. I wish everybody good luck as were getting down to the wire!!1 Anyone else out there?

I don't think you don't get summers off; all the programs are 4 semesters and Summer counts as a semester.

So the BSN regular is Fall-Spring-Summer-Fall or Spring-Summer-Fall-Spring. The Pacesetter is Fall-Spring-Summer-Fall. The Accelerated BSN is Summer-Fall-Spring-Summer.

You don't get summers off, in fact they said during their information session, that the big break between application acceptance and the start of the program is to "prepare your families", for the program. I don't know about you guys but I have a two year old daughter so its going to be tough if I get in. I already have no life lol not sure how much worse it can get.

oh wow, so the regular program finishes in a year and half (the 4 semesters). i thought that applied only to pacesetter and spring admits. thanks for the 411 :lol2:

i had a question do you know what science classes count for the science s gpa they want? thank you

The science classes vary depending on the institution at which you take them. You can find specifics here: http://registrar.uth.tmc.edu/Admissions/prereqtransferbsn.pdf

For calculating science GPA, I know they use A&P, Micro and Chem...not sure about Nutrition.

According to my transcript evaluation, the science GPA has 16 hours- so A&P1, A&P2, Micro, and Chem.

does anyone get interview letter yet? i have been stalking my mail and this posts every few hours

so far, there have been no updates of anyone receiving an interview letter yet :( still waiting, or at least still hoping.

I am so hungry to read something with UTHSC written on it that I'm going through old AN threads (including the Spring 2011 one, 123 pages) to get my fix.

FYI for those who also applied to TWU, we should be hearing something soonish.
