Fall 2009 UT Houston BSN Applicants

U.S.A. Texas

Published

Hey everyone! I applied to UT houston and I'm waiting to hear if I got an interview. Applicants for years in the past started threads that everyone went to and kept everyone updated on information from the school, and it's nice to hear from possible (fingers crossed) other future classmates. If you don't mind, I'd also like to post our application info: GPA (science and overall), NET scores and experience.

My stats:

Overall GPA: 3.93

Science GPA: 3.75 (I think- UT link is down today :wink2:

NET: composite score was 88% (96 percentile)

I'm currently employed as a CNA in a hospital (only have about a month experience so far)

Goodluck and hopefully I get some replies!

If you remember, UT sent out a mail after you applied and it had all your classes and showed your gpa and stuff. If you look at that it should so all the classes that you ay be missing. I hope they do fix your problem though especially since your doing the Accerlarated program.

Hey Se7en14..just a quick tip..

I had trouble getting a hold of anyone as well so I just emailed Henry Cambel who is an admin over there and he got back to me pretty quick. His email is [email protected] and you can also look up his number on the site and leave him a voicemail and he'll most likely look into your problem and if there is a transcript on record then he will fix it and call you or email you back.. he did that for me today pretty quickly! Hope that helps.

I've talked with Henry before, and he is very nice, professional and helpful.

Everything is cool now. Spoke with henry who was totally awesome. He said Tech had issues with transcripts and just request to send another one to UT. Also he said my technical writing class would substitute for English II. THANK GOD!!!!!

cool, if anyone knows where they recommend we get cpr certified, let me know!

I did that at Lone Star too. I did it through their community education at the Kingwood campus, but I think they have it at all their campuses. I did it on a Saturday, and it was $51. You can find info on the Lone Star website: www.lonestar.edu

Just look for the link to community/continuing education.

UTHSCH is offering the class on April 10

Specializes in Women's Services.

Has anyone tried the local YMCA for the CPR?

I got my official letter today!!! I am in!!!!

GretchRB, I didn't take it at the Y, but I know that the Woodlands YMCA's offer it. You would just have too Google Greater Houston YMCA and it should tell the schedules at the one closest to your area.

I recieved my "official" acceptance letter today also, I'm relieved their records were correct as to only the one prerequisite showing I still need to complete. I was a little worred with some of the problems some of you had. I'm excited to get started!!

Yay! Looking forward to working with you!
