Hey everyone! I applied to UT houston and I'm waiting to hear if I got an interview. Applicants for years in the past started threads that everyone went to and kept everyone updated on information from the school, and it's nice to hear from possible (fingers crossed) other future classmates. If you don't mind, I'd also like to post our application info: GPA (science and overall), NET scores and experience.
My stats:
Overall GPA: 3.93
Science GPA: 3.75 (I think- UT link is down today :wink2:
NET: composite score was 88% (96 percentile)
I'm currently employed as a CNA in a hospital (only have about a month experience so far)

does anyone know when cpr certification is due by and has anyone found out which places the school allows us to be certified at? I called but no response.....
Hi All-I have not checked this in awhile as I figured I was the only one on here to be in the accelerated program so i searched for another group that was for accelerated peeps but did not find one. Well-all of you have been super great about responding and helping each other out! I figure we will prob. all get to know each other when we are in the program!!!

I am wondering if we really have to worry about registering early at all-we will pretty much have a set schedule of classes. Was this your impression? I got my first Hep B today at UT student health services. Where are you going to take your BLS CPR if you have not already?
Hey Se7ven14-did you get the class thing figured out? I have to say that this was an issue for me several times. They kept on saying that i needed nutrition when i had already taken it!! well-i will say that Tarsha and Henry and all of the staff have been really really helpful and supportive. I also really liked my experience at UT student health services today. It looks like August and Javagabby are also in the accelerated. I am so excited about starting, if you can't tell!
I'm in accelerated too..and I also had a random drug test today! When you said you got an email for registration-where did you get it from? and When? So far the only thing I've received is the packet.
If yall are looking for cpr, I got my certification from Cintas First Aid. They offer CPR classes every day at multiple times and itS 40$.
