Hey everyone! I applied to UT houston and I'm waiting to hear if I got an interview. Applicants for years in the past started threads that everyone went to and kept everyone updated on information from the school, and it's nice to hear from possible (fingers crossed) other future classmates. If you don't mind, I'd also like to post our application info: GPA (science and overall), NET scores and experience.
My stats:
Overall GPA: 3.93
Science GPA: 3.75 (I think- UT link is down today :wink2:
NET: composite score was 88% (96 percentile)
I'm currently employed as a CNA in a hospital (only have about a month experience so far)
Goodluck and hopefully I get some replies!

EllieBell and AggieNurse12, how does the drug test work? I am signing up and paying tomorrow, and then do they call you for that day? Where did you have to go? How much notice do you get? I'm concerned cause I live in the Woodlands, and I have a full time job that I usually work from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. every day except only till 2 on Friday. What if I can't get to wherever it is on that day? I have clients, and can't just take off. Also, what email did you get registration and payment info on? Personal? or do we have UT email accounts now? I didn't get anything yet.
Thanks so much for the info!
The drug test was pretty simple. I registered and paid Sunday evening and then I got an email (sent from them at like 4:30 am) that I was scheduled to test Tuesday, March 31 at a center in Houston anytime from 8-5. I'm currently still in College Station so I just called the customer service number on Monday morning to see if there was a testing facility closer to me so I wouldn't have to drive to Houston. They took my name and called me back and located a testing place near me and asked when I would be available to go take it so I just did it yesterday. They were really easy to work with and seemed very flexible.
I didn't get the email..and as far as I know we don't have UT email accounts. I haven't heard otherwise.
Anyone interested in starting a new thread for accelerated to help get us through the holds/orientation? This one is so long and complicated!
I got it from the school yesterday. They said that registration begins April 6 and we must pay tuition the day we register! That is early for me so I think we will all prob. we taking the same classes and therefore do not have to worry about choosing our schedule. I would not worry at all if you have not gotten it yet-I sent in my intent to accept and payment right away and I think mail goes fast b/c I am right down the street from the school! Yeah-what do you think, that we will have a set of classes chosen for us?
Hi everybody, i am new to this blogging thing and i think it is kinda cool. i got accepted into the accelerated program as well but i have not received anything. i called but never seem to get anybody. Is the anybody out there that is in the same predicament? If i do not get it by today i am going to the school. Please advice me on what to do.
Call the student affairs office at 713 500 2199. there is a menu option for speaking to someone and they almost always have someone there. otherwise tarsha young has always been helpful to me-you can look up her # on the school website. i would say that it got lost in the mail but as i got mine less than a week ago it could just be slow-good luck!
