Fall 2009 UT Houston BSN Applicants

Published

Hey everyone! I applied to UT houston and I'm waiting to hear if I got an interview. Applicants for years in the past started threads that everyone went to and kept everyone updated on information from the school, and it's nice to hear from possible (fingers crossed) other future classmates. If you don't mind, I'd also like to post our application info: GPA (science and overall), NET scores and experience.

My stats:

Overall GPA: 3.93

Science GPA: 3.75 (I think- UT link is down today :wink2:

NET: composite score was 88% (96 percentile)

I'm currently employed as a CNA in a hospital (only have about a month experience so far)

Goodluck and hopefully I get some replies!

So anyone get anything in the mail yet :)

i havent, my mom drive home during work just to see if it had come! please let me know whenever yall receive yours, im desperate!

why are you so desperate? Did you check utlink yet?

UT is giong to use what most schools are switching over to in the fall which is the Hesi A2. Congrats toall and good luck!

And btw, the Hesi A2 is waaaaay easier than the NET. I took it twice (for two different schools, neither one would accept scores from any school except themselves) and made a near-100 without even studying, while my composite NET score was a composite 88. The test change is good news for any future applicants!

R u kidding what could be easier than the NET?!?! I thought the net was a joke without studying at all...it was like an easy SAT. The GRE math and reading was WAY harder than the NET!

The A2 is a total joke, even compared to the breeze that was the NET. If you passed the 8th grade, you're practically guaranteed a perfect score on the A2.

Congrats to those who will be attending UT this fall, I'm happy to say that I will be joining you. :) Has anyone attempted to look for housing around the area? Including the UT housing? Any advice I should go by when looking for a place to live? thanks all!

I'm surprised nobody has receieved the official "admission letter in the mail" thing yet. I'm already planning a vacation and I just want to make sure everything is going according to plans.

can any of you help me out. i just want to know in this thread. how many of you applied to TWU Houston as well as UT Houston? And for the ones who got accepted UT and applied for TWU, will you decline your spot at TWU? Im just trying to see how many students applied for the houston campus, in the TWU thread there is some talk about it being 700 people who applied to TWU, but we are just trying to see about how many applied to TWU and UT but are turning down TWU? thanks so much, id really appreciate it.
