Hey everyone! I applied to UT houston and I'm waiting to hear if I got an interview. Applicants for years in the past started threads that everyone went to and kept everyone updated on information from the school, and it's nice to hear from possible (fingers crossed) other future classmates. If you don't mind, I'd also like to post our application info: GPA (science and overall), NET scores and experience.
My stats:
Overall GPA: 3.93
Science GPA: 3.75 (I think- UT link is down today :wink2:
NET: composite score was 88% (96 percentile)
I'm currently employed as a CNA in a hospital (only have about a month experience so far)

We will be out of the country from May 10-20, and I am very nervous that there will be something I have to do here at that time, pay, or otherwise do to get ready. I haven't gotten my letter yet either. I heard the date April 1 mentioned as a mail out date, but I don't know.
hahaha yeah I hope so, Im thinking about Florida in late May early June before Summer school so I'm just gonna cross my fingers that orientation does not fall on these dates.
Hopefully we should be getting something soon. I know someone who said they received a letter in the mail from UT yesterday (they hadn't opened it yet- so I don't know what it was). Plus when my status changed it said acceptance packet has been mailed. I called today to the Registrar and the Health department to start having holds removed for CPR and things like that, I left a message for the Registrar's office and the health department said it's way to early to provide records of shots- I will have something in the acceptance packet to write my records on and I should send it in around May or June...
im posting this again, because nobody seems to want to answer me. please guys can you help me out. can any of you help me out. i just want to know in this thread. how many of you applied to TWU Houston as well as UT Houston? And for the ones who got accepted UT and applied for TWU, will you decline your spot at TWU? Im just trying to see how many students applied for the houston campus, in the TWU thread there is some talk about it being 700 people who applied to TWU, but we are just trying to see about how many applied to TWU and UT but are turning down TWU? thanks so much, id really appreciate it.
Pretty Ladie-- I didn't apply to TWU- Only because I didn't have my statistic class complete in time so I couldn't apply...Good luck!
As a running tally it looks like there was 5 people who posted on here who was accepted into the accelerated program and 10 who posted they were accepted into the Generic. We may meet each other soon!
Oh and I never posted my stats...
I was accepted into the Generic program
My nursing prereq gpa was 3.9310
My science was 3.75
my undergraduate was 3.9320
My overall net score was 88% which was 96 percentile- I don't remember the break down....
I took all of my classes at Lonestar Montgomery (I still have to finish Statistics and I'm good to go)
i didnt realize you had to have stats before you applied. well congrats on your acceptance. im just trying to figure out who all applied to the twu houston campus because 700 people applied to twu dallas, but we just dont know how many of those also chose to go to houston, and who applied to houston alone. does that make sense. so if any and everybody could read this and post id greatly appreacite it. congrats to all of you.
For generic program do you guys have an idea when the time frame will be for Orientation. I will be out of town at the end of may to first week for june :)
Also what is the difference between the Hesi and the Hesi A2? Can someone please explain. I just purchased the Hesi Admission Assessment Exam Review Book and it appears to be rather easy.
Oh yeah.. almost forgot...those who made it in would you be interested in starting a blog so we can keep in contact easier about the rest of the process...ie background check, shots, and transportation? Let me know!!!
