Fall 2012 new nursing students roll call!!!

How many of you are there? What's next for you? I've just registered for classes. We only have one set of clinicals in the first semester. It's adult care 1. Other than that we have assessment and fundamentals. I need to get my physical and get tested to see if I still have immunity from previous vaccines. If not, I get to be a pin cushion for a little while :) Other than that, I have to figure out how I'm going to pay for school now that I'm taking on twice the tuition bill transferring to a university. I'm applying to two hospitals to see if I can get in their scholarship and service programs. This is a super busy month!

I was accepted to CMUs BSN program this fall. I am so over the moon! I have been working for 15 years on pre-reqs, in between helping my husband through school and grad school and having my kids. I feel ready to go! I had to retake my sciences since it took more than 5 years to get here. Last fall I applied and didn't get in. I was crushed! They do a points system here, and interviews. This spring I retook the Kaplan entrance exam, and applied for both LPN and BSN programs just in case. I got an interview with both and was accepted to both!! I can't wait to dig in!

I am just about to get my bachelor's degree in Nutrition, and I have been accepted to a two-year nursing program which starts in late August! I'm nervous but also very excited to start this new chapter in my life!

I can still hardly believe I'll be starting the ADN program in August! Our orientation isn't until July so I'm not sure what my schedule will be like. I wish I had a list of the textbooks we'll be using - I like to read ahead.

I was accepted into the Fall 2012 Nursing Program at my college! I am so excited I can barely contain myself! Orientation is in May and then the fun begins :)

I just got my letter a few weeks ago!!! I'm soo excited. Classes start in August but I need to get my immunization records and physical information together. Good luck to everyone beginning their classes!!

Congrats everyone! I know how it feels to work so hard only to be rejected because the programs are so competitive! I'm so happy to finally be on my way as well. Here's to a great class!

I start school in the fall as well. My orientation is the 18 of May so I guess then I will find out all the specifics. We dont get to register until then so have no idea what my classes will be like.

Well isn't this a small world?!? I saw your post in the other tread... I'll be going to CCTC too! :p
