Coffee Is My Medicine
I just put my pen in my mouth and tried to write with my coffee cup. Is this a sign that I've been studying too hard or that it's time for another cup of coffee?

To all the students about to start nursing school...
Thank you SO much. This is exactly what I needed as I find my anxiety level rising the closer I get to August 20th. Best wishes for success on your boards.

Fifty-four and I start school on Monday
Congratulations and best wishes to you. I will be starting my ADN program in August as the oldest student in the class. I'm 57. I'm sure your aunt would be very proud of you.

A&P 1 Spring 2012 Check-in
Had my final tonight. Happy dancing about my A! My lecture prof was awesome.

Fall 2012 new nursing students roll call!!!
I can still hardly believe I'll be starting the ADN program in August! Our orientation isn't until July so I'm not sure what my schedule will be like. I wish I had a list of the textbooks we'll be using - I like to read ahead.

Got my acceptance letter today!
Congrats to you! Supposedly good things come in small packages but I think happiness comes in a big envelope!

Is this nitpicking or does the instructor dislike her?...
This is my idea of "wisdom."

Grooming and dressing up takes so much time...
I'm thinking about laminating my flash cards so I can study in the shower.

I got in!
Congratulations to you! And a toast to the class of 2014!

Anyone waiting on Acceptance/Rejection Letter '2012
Congratulations! Are you starting in fall or sooner?

PTK Honor society
Congratulations! I just joined PTK also, although I don't know if it will have an impact on acceptance to a nursing program. I think it will be helpful if/when you move on for a bachelor's degree program. The information I received with my invitation indicated that PTK can be helpful with letters of recommendation and scholarships. It's all good!

Yes, I am in
Congratulations to you!

Woah!
As a hopefully-soon-to-receive-that-acceptance-letter nursing student, I can tell you that reading many of the posts in these forums - including the negative, hate-my-job posts - has been educational, enlightening, and sometimes frightening (politics!), but mostly inspirational. I am very appreciative of those who have taken the time to share their experiences, good and bad, and feel like I have a more realistic viewpoint as a result. Peaches88, it sounds like you work in LTC/SNF? That's the area I hope to work in some day, so I'm happy to know there are good points! Thanks.
