How many of you are there? What's next for you? I've just registered for classes. We only have one set of clinicals in the first semester. It's adult care 1. Other than that we have assessment and fundamentals. I need to get my physical and get tested to see if I still have immunity from previous vaccines. If not, I get to be a pin cushion for a little while :) Other than that, I have to figure out how I'm going to pay for school now that I'm taking on twice the tuition bill transferring to a university. I'm applying to two hospitals to see if I can get in their scholarship and service programs. This is a super busy month!
I have been stalking the crap out of this website. So awesome to read all of the BTDT stories. I think it also helps keep my expectations realistic as well. I'm sure nothing can truly prepare me for real world nursing except real world nursing, but it is helpful to go into it with my eyes open.
I managed to find a much cheaper online pathophysiology class that my school is willing to accept. It's at Butler Community College, and it's literally half the cost. Best case scenario I will also be able to use the FAFSA for it. What a wonderful surprise that will be!
I can't believe I'm saying this but, I'll be starting nursing school in the fall as well!!! I received my acceptance letter about a month ago! It is contingent on me passing the dreaded chem class! I sign up for classes on the 4th of may. After that I have a while lot of stuff to do! Titers, boosters (if needed), getting the car tuned up to make it four hours away (yikes), background check. Well, congratulations to all who have been accepted! Now a question, if I had titers drawn in january '11, do you think they will accept them or make me draw new ones? Thanks for the input!

Greetings & congratulations to all,I am OBSESSED with this site. After Weeks of devouring all you have to share, this is my first post. I too have been accepted and will attend the Nursing Program at GPC Clarkston in Aug 2012. I'm curious to know if anyone has experience using IPads/tablets in a classroom setting? From what I hear, downloading textbooks is much cheaper than purchacing hard copies and updates are available at no additional charge. In your opinion, would this expence be worth the investment. Any experienced insight will be greatly appreciated, thanx.
I was accepted for the fall for a BSN program and was able to start pre-clinical classes this summer for fall clinicals...so I'll be starting May 14 I've been mentally and physically gearing up while trying to finish up my spring classes, I'm going crazy. My last class in on May 12! Last week I registered for my summer and fall classes (11 total!) and oh boy I had a lump in my throat!
I had my physical this morning/bloodwork/tetorifice/1st ppd shot and picked up my uniforms today and got my patches sewn on. The first round of books are on their way in the mail and I've been stocking up on highlighters .
Now I just need to finalize my calendar, so my MIL knows exactly when she'll be watching her granddaughter this summer!

Just got accepted last week and won't get more info until late May. But I am super super excited!! I can't stop searching for things I will need for school, but I stop myself from buying anything until I get info from my school. Congrats to all the newly admitted!!!
