Hey everybody! I just wanted to start a thread where all of us who are beginning the stressful process of worrying over Lonestar admissions can give each other some support! I'm planning on applying to LSC-Montgomery - retaking Psych 2301 in a Second 8 Weeks class to get an*A,* and getting ready to take the HESI in November when Moco's testing opens. I'm freaking out over how much is on the line...must make an *A!* Must blow HESI out of the water!!!!!
Anyway, just wanted to say good luck to everyone as their finishing up their prereqs and preparing for the HESI and ask...
just checked the mail today, i still havent received a letter... those who are accepted to north harris, what all came in the letter? when is the letter of intent due? if i dont get something by tomorrow im calling them to ask, it shouldnt take this long...
Hey everyone I was accepted to North Harris (YEAH) anyways I have a dr. appt next week and I called to ask the lady at NH if I could go ahead and get my physical done then so I would not have to take off work and pay another fee. Anyways she informed me they are not giving out any info on the program yet. Does anyone know what I need to get done I do not have a lot of money to be running back and forth to the doctor (no insurance and all)I found a couple physical exam forms off the website. Are these the forms to fill out? Congrats to everyone that got in see you in the fall!

My letter of intent is due back April 7, but that's for Montgomery. I think our letters were mailed out before North Harris's.
I can only imagine how frustrated you are! If you don't have a letter by Friday, just call.
I can't really comment on the physical exam docs on the website because I have no idea, but I did see them, too. You could always print it out and take it with you to the doctor. It may save you a trip. If it's the wrong one I'm sure it would be no trouble transcribing it to the new document without an office fee.

glad im not alone.. im also waiting on a possible call for an interview for the perfect job for me, so hopefully tomorrow is my lucky day and i get my phone call and my letter lol. tell your friend she is not alone lol
Oh, Erica! I saw your screen name as the last post and was hoping you came back to say that your mail was late and you got in. Your score was definitely high enough. I'm frustrated for you and NanCy!
For Cyfair, our letters of intent aren't due until May 1st, so they must all be different. Hopefully someone from NH will post about theirs soon.
ETA: I went ahead and used the physical form online (got mine done in November to get it taken care of), since it's pretty inclusive. I figured that worse case scenario, I'd just have to get my doc to fill out a different form with the same info.

I got my letter on Saturday. I didn't get in. I really didn't think I would as I still needed to finish my A&P II class to get full points. I applied on the off chance that maybe there wouldn't be as many applicants or maybe the cut off would be lower this year. Congrats to all those that made it in.
Well everyone, I was accepted for Cy-fair, but today I found out that I got into UT!! So, that means if anyone is on the waiting list, I will be opening up one more spot! Good luck to everyone going to lonestar!

What physical? The only things I'm aware of are:
1. letter of intent
2. release of educational info
3. background and finger print
4. cpr
5. hep b vaccinated (proof)
6. be up to date on all other shots (don't konw if this includes h1n1; swine flu)
so far i have all ready except the CPR and background check (will have that done at 12:10 today)

Do you mind me asking what your score was??? I still haven't got my letter either.I applied at north harris...I get on this site everyday but this is my first time posting something...I hope I get something in the mail today. Don't be discouraged a lot of people seem to have got accepted elsewhere and declining lone star's application!
