Fall 2019 Johns Hopkins MSN: Entry Into Nursing Hopeful

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hey everyone,

I'm currently preparing to apply to JHSON MSN: Entry into nursing program. I was wondering if those of you who are current or former students of the program could share your credentials, GRE Scores, GPA, and experience of being an MSN Entry Into Nursing student. I know that I am asking for a lot. I'm a bit worried that my GPA will not be high enough. Cum GPA is a 3.3 but my prereq GPA is 3.7

Does anyone know if you have to apply to the DNP program after the completing the MSN? Or are you automatically in?

You need to apply, interview and be accepted. I wish it was automatic!!!

Hello everyone :3

I also applied to the msn through the jan 1 deadline.

A few of the other colleges I applied to already have financial aid requirements (fafsa, scholarships apps, etc). I haven't been able to pin down whether or not JHSON has any of these requirements prior to receiving your admissions status. Does anyone have any information about this?

You shouldn't have to apply for Financial Aid before accepting your admission offer for JHU. If they offer you a scholarship, it seems that they usually call students within a week of them receiving their acceptance letter to notify them. I'm a current student in my first semester and I completed my FAFSA after committing. The Financial Aid Office is also a really great resource; they're super helpful with the process and will walk you through everything if you are confused at any point.

I applied early decision and was waitlisted as well. I was told that those waitlisted should expect to hear back around March

I’m so glad you said that! Because I was starting to wonder when we should hear from them again. Do you know how they’ll inform us?

I contacted the school today to inquire when they foresee revealing the results. They said they're trying to send it on 8th March. Not sure if this applies to wait-listed applicants. I asked pertaining my situation, a student who has not yet received any communications about their own admission's decision yet.

I hope we hear back sooner than March 8th!!!!!!!!

Just received notification via e-mail from JHU.
