Fall 2019 Johns Hopkins MSN: Entry Into Nursing Hopeful

Hey everyone,

I'm currently preparing to apply to JHSON MSN: Entry into nursing program. I was wondering if those of you who are current or former students of the program could share your credentials, GRE Scores, GPA, and experience of being an MSN Entry Into Nursing student. I know that I am asking for a lot. I'm a bit worried that my GPA will not be high enough. Cum GPA is a 3.3 but my prereq GPA is 3.7

As for your applications. JHU expects decent grades but they look at the whole candidate. My background was actually in theater and music before going into healthcare. They look for driven people with interesting backgrounds, people who will bring those experiences into the school. Make sure your prereq/science grades are solid. My undergrad was a 2.49, my prereqs were a 4.0. MAKE SURE YOUR ESSAY IS SOLID, UNIQUE, AND REALLY DEMONSTRATES WHO YOU ARE AND WHY YOU ARE WANTING TO BE A NURSE.

@letsbringhealth I would like to apply for fall 2022 however I have been trying to figure out if it is okay for me to apply now or wait for Spring 2022 deadline to close.

Hi Keyania, 

If you go to JHU School of Nursing, at this time, they say only Fall 2021 & Spring 2022 applications are open:

You could always contact the Admissions office and check with them what is the earliest date you could apply for Fall 2022.
