Fall 2019 Johns Hopkins MSN: Entry Into Nursing Hopeful

Published

Hey everyone,

I'm currently preparing to apply to JHSON MSN: Entry into nursing program. I was wondering if those of you who are current or former students of the program could share your credentials, GRE Scores, GPA, and experience of being an MSN Entry Into Nursing student. I know that I am asking for a lot. I'm a bit worried that my GPA will not be high enough. Cum GPA is a 3.3 but my prereq GPA is 3.7

Does anyone have any information when the waitlist will hear back? Or how long the waitlist is? ? ? ? ?

Nope, I tried calling on Thursday and was never given an answer. Just was told everyone will be informed of a decision by letter or an admissions officer

As in the admissions officer will call you? So are we not expecting emails if we get accepted? I would much prefer a phone call so I can stop constantly checking my email. lol ?

Just got an acceptance email this evening! Wishing good luck to anyone else on the waitlist!!

Congratulations! Looks like they're opening up the waitlist. Please let us know if they supply a call or a physical mail as well! ?

I am. I’m so nervous!

Hi all! An interesting tidbit of info - out of the ~110 members of the Spring 2019 graduating cohort of the MEN program, approximately 15 new graduates accepted a job offer in the pediatrics department of Johns Hopkins Hospital (assuming that there are only several new grad openings on each floor, majority of them were taken by Hopkins new grads).

Consider where you want to work AFTER nursing school when deciding where to go for school.

Hi, I'm curious where did you get the stats?

I'm a recent spring 2019 grad from the Hopkins MEN program!

Congratulations! How did you like the program?

I LOVED it. Everyone at graduation was clapping and standing for the professors during the recession part of the ceremony - which I think speaks volumes.
