Fall 2019 Johns Hopkins MSN: Entry Into Nursing Hopeful

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hey everyone,

I'm currently preparing to apply to JHSON MSN: Entry into nursing program. I was wondering if those of you who are current or former students of the program could share your credentials, GRE Scores, GPA, and experience of being an MSN Entry Into Nursing student. I know that I am asking for a lot. I'm a bit worried that my GPA will not be high enough. Cum GPA is a 3.3 but my prereq GPA is 3.7

I ended up not applying to DePaul! I was about to but I realized how unfeasible it would be to relocate to Chicago ?

Oh ok. I'm in FL so I would have to move for either school. ? Are you already in the Baltimore area?

I'm not! I'm actually from MA but I am currently living just outside NYC... so trying to figure what to do with my living situation has been a rollercoaster!

Specializes in MSN, RN.

Where did you decide to go?

I got into four schools but I am down to Columbia or Vanderbilt.

I totally understand. I have a house here so preparing all the things I'll have to do to move is a little stressful bit it will be worth it. ?

Hi guys! This may seem like an odd questions but I was an international student so just recently became a resident and financial aid is pretty new to me. Does any one know if JHU also gives grants for financial or if its only the scholarships, loans, and federal work study? Someone explained to me that often graduate schools do not offer grants and mostly just have loans but I am not too sure if I understood it corrently. I would really appreciate if anyone has any clarification on this. Thanks ?

Congrats on your acceptance! As far as I know, scholarships, loans, and things like FAFSA are the primary options for funding grad school. That's the only pitfall of JH, it is so costly. Best of luck with your decisions. ?

Does anyone know how waitlist decisions are made ... or when? So impatient lol ?

nope! I just got an email from JHU saying they're ranked #1 and my heart skipped about 10 beats LOL.

Does anyone know if the applicants get pulled off the waitlist all at once or if its rolling?

For all of those who have been accepted. First, Congrats!!! Second, have any of you previously applied and been waitlisted/denied? Hope to hear some responses, any information would be useful!

Does anyone have any information when the waitlist will hear back? Or how long the waitlist is? ? ? ? ?
