Fall 2019 Johns Hopkins MSN: Entry Into Nursing Hopeful

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hey everyone,

I'm currently preparing to apply to JHSON MSN: Entry into nursing program. I was wondering if those of you who are current or former students of the program could share your credentials, GRE Scores, GPA, and experience of being an MSN Entry Into Nursing student. I know that I am asking for a lot. I'm a bit worried that my GPA will not be high enough. Cum GPA is a 3.3 but my prereq GPA is 3.7

Congrats to all of you. Still waiting to hear back. For those of you that were accepted would you mind sharing your stats?

Got accepted !! So excited. Just via email though no phone call yet... Does anyone know how we find out about financial aid stuff ??

Eye, did you get accepted today or was it yesterday? I am trying to figure out if they release any decisions over the weekend... Ooo the financial aid info is released when you receive your offer in the snail mail (if you applied).

I’ll get my email during the week. I’m claiming it. I WILL BE A NURSING STUDENT FALL 2019!!☺️

Eye:

Not sure if this is the general case, with me, I first received the e-mail about acceptance, then the next day, via phone, the admissions offer along w/ financial aid.

Same here.

@VwBee89

i received the email on Friday, and I imagine will get a phone call/ or snail mail in the next week or so...

Question— we haven’t had any financial aid or fafsa stuff due yet right ? Duke made us apply for all of that by last week before hearing about admissions decisions & I just want to check that I didn’t somehow drop the ball on jhson financial aid / need based aid opportunities

Correct.

When I called financial services office, they advised, unless you live in Baltimore, it's fine to apply for financial aid upon admission letter. Some people who live in Baltimore (maybe it was Maryland...), they can apply for some extra benefits, and for them, it's a good idea for apply before 1 MAR.
