Hi Everyone!!
I wanted to start a post on final grades for the Fall 2008 semester. I'm very happy with my grades right now i'm doing the happy dance! LOL.
Anthropology (Buried cities and lost tribes) = A
Anatomy and Physiology 202 = B
How did everyone else do?
I am psyched at my end of semester grades! I hadn't taken this many courses at once since my first attempt at college failed. I am now ready to apply to nursing school, which they take into consideration your GPA (50% of admission), A&P I grade (25% of admission) and TEAS test (25% of admission). The following are the results:
A&P I: A
Principles of Sociology: A
English 101: A
TEAS test 82.4%
Overall cumulative GPA for semester and all prior semesters: 4.0!!!!
You can't ask for better than that, I can't wait to HOPEFULLY see that giant acceptance envelope in my mailbox come May!!! Cheers to all who survived the Fall '08 semester!
What schools give A+? I haven't seen A+ since I left high school (I have been to four colleges and have never seen one give A+). What is the difference between and A+ and an A as far as GPA?
I'm not pre-nursing, but my grad school gives A+'s. Makes no difference to the GPA, it's still a 4.0.

I work Full Time. Minimum 40 hours per week and sometimes 50-60 (my husband is laid of so I pick up hours when I can). I learned to study when I can ( often study on lunch or while I am in my fitness class on the eliptical machine) I am taking 2 real classes and a fitness class this semester just as I did last semseter. Luckily we have no children so I can focus on school most of the time. I am lucky to have a husband who will do the household stuff while I study. I know the further I get, the harder it will be but it will be worth it in the end.
