failing two days b/f eligible for nclex

Nurses General Nursing

CONSPIRACY...It does frequently occur in a field of witches... Especially when there are differences in sexuality from 3.9 to all zero in last clinical huh????

I thought the situations described in the OP's post very strange so I went back and read some of the OP's older postings. From what I can tell the instructors must have had a legitimate reason to feel this student was not prepared to become a nurse.

It is hard to tell, really, because the postings are hard to follow and vague, but these postings are also very hostile and reflect not wanting to accept personal responsibility when things go wrong and blaming

someone else, and believing they are the target of a conspiracy.

And something about passages and sexuality...

Much of the content of the posts is incoherent, reflecting disorganized thinking in addition to the anger and hostility. There are many psychological themes that come to mind when I read the posts, but if vibes mean anything I've got some that give me the willies.

I do believe that personality has some bearing on your aptitude for being a health care worker. The medical field is not for everyone.

But, what was the reason for failing you?

I, also, have read the OP's other postings, and feel that there is a lot more to the story.

Part of it is that many of them are vague, and difficult to understand. It may be due to anger that the communication is vague, but if I had communicated that poorly in my classes, I would not have passed.

I wish the OP luck and fortitude in repeating his/her semester, as required.

Usually if you follow the rules, life is great. However, if you don't follow the rules because you are too special to do so or believe that the rules don't apply to you, the there can be big problems. The OP needs to rethink her role in this fiasco.

My teacher set up medications in the drawer in a way that could have harmed the patient, however being a proficient student I did not take the bate. Her purpose in doing so was to say that I would have harmed the patient, if she could catch me preparing the wrong one.

So what was it that you DID do that caused you to fail the rotation? NOT making a big mistake doesn't cost anyone their position.

One teacher in a previous clinical stated, " I would trust her with my own family" I would never harm a patient. I was the first student in the last clinical rotation to start an IV as well as the only student who would volunteer to lead the class in a mock code.

That's grand. You were great. So why, specifically, did you fail out?

As for the use of my di.. word I was referring to the blockage of a passage by this woman in more than one way. I have nothing against anyone's sexuality until it fails me...

I saw that posting where (and how) you used the "d" word, and in no way were you referring to a physical structure whereby water is held at bay! Please, we're brighter than that. And what might you mean by "I have nothing against anyone's sexuality until it fails me..."? As long as she left you alone, her sexuality was not a problem, but "failing" that, it is a problem?

Thanks for all of you who understand that things are not always fair. Anyone familiar with my nursing school knows that the faculty have drinking parties and that they stick together in all cases.

Life isn't fair. Clinical judgements, however, usually are. Something went seriously wrong for you to have been dismissed from program. Even if you were "conspired against", there has to be a valid reason, SOME legitimate reason for your dismissal. Schools know they can (and are) sued by disgrunted former students. They MUST be able to substantiate their decision.

When you say the worst issue was not responding to a vent alarm, do you mean to say that you didn't respond, or you were accused of not responding? If you didn't respond, it makes no difference how well you did in the mock code. Sounds like something is awry.

She 'alluded' to a mistake made by her that the teachers 'allowed' to happen that possible had resulted in a patient's death. I don't care where you are at in your schooling, but if you kill someone in clinical, you usually fail. We don't know how many times the clinical instructors let some of the things she did slip by. We don't even know the whole story because the OP won't fess up. We also don't know her attitude in clinical (which is a huge deal to clinical instructors). But we can guess her attitude just based on the things she has said on this board.

Here you go again, making thing up like the op "killed someone." That did not happen, I assure you..

I disagree! This person spent a lot of money, for a BSN and the time involved. If there were any problems during the last 3 years it should have been brought up earlier so she can correct the problems..Not at the end, where there were two days left until graduation..It is not fair to the student like that..I know that clincal instructors are all different..Some are more strict and some are more laid back in grading..And some might be even biased in grading and failing students.

Ok so you spent alot of money on this, well that should give someone all the more reason to be on top of their game till the very very end. Why would it be right to pass an unsafe practitioner just because they spent alot of money. Think about the future patients that could be affected by that

Bala, if you read my post, I said she "alluded" to killing someone, didn't I? Do Not tell me I am making things up when you haven't even read the post that you quoted. Wise up.

Read through, others have thought the same thing. And, NO you cannot assure us of anything. You are not the OP. Only the OP can tell us if this involved a pt death. You didn't even read all of her postings, because you said in a previous post that she did not make any vulgur comments remember?? And here the OP is, admitting herself that she did in fact use vulgur language.

And further more, do not label me with "Here you go again" I have not EVER made things up like people falsely killing people. You might want to think before you type.

Nobody made that up i read it myself and so did alot of other people, why would anyone on here start making accusation like that about this person out of the blue

As these beaches on wheels attempt to fail you they actually allow a medical error to occur and patient dies.......this happens as subjective grading does to fail a student

Bala, this one's for you...straight from the horse's mouth... Can you see why it was "ALLUDED" that a patient died as a result? Try to remove yourself and your situation from this one.
