Failed NCLEX twice and feel sad :(

Published

Hello Everyone,

I am new to this site. But I just eel sooo sad and would like to share my feelings coz i know that you guys will understand.

I took the NCLEX again yesterday and learned that I did not pass it :( I feel like I have lost confidence in myself. some times i feel i am not understanding the material well. The 1st time I prepared for it myself without any program just did a lot of different book qs, the 2nd time took the ATI program and still didn't do well. I am so confused what to do next. I feel like i should not give up but I am scared to appear for it again and fail it. I am also thinking of doin kaplan test review but don't know if it will help..Can someone suggest to me if kaplan would be a good choice to go with if I go for the NCLEX the 3rd time.

Since I am from out of the country (India) I sometimes think that, the way I have been taught to study if very different from how they teach in US..so I think may be thats why I am unable to pass it. My husband and friends are very supportive and have been encouraging me to go for the third time..I don't know what to do..:mad:

looking forward to hearing from you all

Don't give up. Lot's of people do not pass the first or second time. I took Kaplan review and loved it. The review breaks down what the question is actually asking and teaches you how to answer it. Good luck!

You have a right to feel sad for a few days. Then pick yourself up, brush off, and get ready to go after it again. You will be successful as long as you do not give up.

Thank you kjorris and caliotter3 for you words of encouragement.

@ kjorris : did you do the complete plan or the online? .coz i have been reading on their website and they do not have any sessions close to where I live..so it seems i will have to do the online one..but was not sure if it will work well do you have any info on that?

Don't give up, I know you can do it. After all you made it through nursing school. I would recommended the Kaplan course, I did it and found it to be helpful. My other bit of advice is to be confident in yourself and your abilities. I would also recommend doing as many practice questions as possible, use different ones, use the cd's more than the books itself. Good luck to you and best of all, never stop believing in yourself.

Please do not give up! God is in your favor...just back up study again...and go back it...I know its hard for you to do right now but remember a failure is someone who gives up...and i know that if you got through nursing school you can pass the nclex...it just was not the right time for you to pass...God has great plans for you just keep studying!

Thank you all for your words of encouragement :) they sure do make me feel better..:)

I guess I have had a whole 2 days worth of moping done and now have started building a new plan to make it thru the next time ..I believe I can do this ..although there is that other small negative part of me that says you may not ..and I am fighting that now..

I will believe I can do this and will become a good nurse :).

Failure is a final outcome. You have not failed until you give up. Try again, and again, and again if you have to. Study everything you can and do the Kaplain.

hello everyone... I am new to this site, i really like reading all your posts especially regarding nclex. I will be taking my nclex exam in May and hopefully I will make it this time coz that will be my 2nd.I am using saunders as of the moment and still trying to look for a good reviewer.. any suggestions? I used lippincott and mosby before but it didn't work.:)

Don't worry I have a friend from same place who failed four times and working hard for the fifth time.Make sure that you register for the new kaplan review.:)

I loved Saunders NCLEX review, try that with the study disc.
