Well I just found out that I didn't pass my NCLEX RN exam for the third time . I took the Kaplan review and did all of the questions 3 times now. Obviously it isn't working and I am not sure where to go now. I have met with my instructor after not passing the second time and felt really confident going into it the third time. I as doing good on all of my tests with Kaplan. So if anyone know what I should do now please help. I am looking for a job right now doing anything, because we need extra money coming in. I am married with a 3 year old and christmas is coming up. I so wish I would have passed so I wouldn't have to worry about finding a min. wage job to just try and get by.

My heart really goes out to you! Maybe you should not use Kaplan anymore and look into other resources. I failed and preparing to take it this coming Monday! Wish me Luck here are some of the books I've used and reviews. Hope This helps out. I don't know what faith you are, but remember to seek God in everything you do, There is a reason for everything just continue to do your best. There are people on here who have taken it 10 TIMES and passed and you will too...GOOD LUKE
1. Frye's 3000 Nursing Bullets NCLEX-RN by Charles M. Frye (SInce you have a 3 year old, this would help to just read facts on a on the go basis which is really effective)
2. Prioritizaiton, Delegation, and Assignment by Linda A. Charity (Everyone on here praises this book since NCLEX seems to be all about Priority and Delegation)
3. HUrstREview.com (They came to my school and did a review, but they also have an online review which covers content, and so being you been out of school for a minute it won't hurt to brush up on them.)
4. Maybe you should put out a post on here for where you live or craigslist and try and find a study partner...or go back to your school for assistance...2 heads are better than one, and you can motivate each other.
Remember to keep positive and a smile on your face, it makes things so much easier. :)
I know some people have really bad test anxiety also, maybe something to calm you down may help, talk to your PCP.

Don't give up. Start over, perhaps with a new review book, and study as if you had not tested before. You can do this.

I have not passed yet either and have taken it 2 times. My test anxiety is pretty much off the chart and I got some medication to help out. My doctor put me on a beta-blocker to help calm me down without giving me an anti-anxiety med that might mess with my head. If you have test anxiety, you might look into this option too.

I totally understand what you are going through.. I have failed 3 times now also, jobless, and very frustrated. I wanted to actually give up a couple weeks ago, and go back to school, but with the help of my family and friends pushing me into not giving up, I realized that is the best decision, and so I am not giving up!!! We can do this, and always realize we are not alone in this mess! I am not sure as to why this type of thing happends to some people, and others can pass on their first try, but I keep telling myself Ill appreciate passing all that much more, and so will you. I am signing up for Kaplans in December, that is the only review that I have not tried yet, so I am giving it a shot. Good luck to you! Be positive and have faith in yourself!

This is only a minor set back and when you pass, because you will, you will be able to pass the heart felt encouragement along to someone else who thinks the giant(NCLEX) can not to beaten, but you know better:).
I took my NCLEX-RN today for the 3rd time and I am awaiting my results but if the PVT is correct then I failed again I definitely feel your pain and understand where you are coming from! I had a 3.5 GPA all through nursing school but my test anxiety is kicking my butt big time. Hang in there, WE WILL PASS :)

Oh man, I feel your pain! Hugs!! It took me three times to pass that blasted thing. Def quit with the Kaplan, I never felt like that was helpful. What helped me was getting review books on tape, or CD. That way you can listen to the information when you are driving, working out, doing chores, etc. Perhaps find a review class at a nearby school, right now is a good time since it's nearing the end of the quarter for some schools. Also, try Saunder's review books, that really helped me. But just remember, prioritize with the questions. That's all that it wants anyways. Don't let it affect your ability to be a RN. There is no correlation there.
