Failed my NCLEX 3 times now

Well I just found out that I didn't pass my NCLEX RN exam for the third time :mad:. I took the Kaplan review and did all of the questions 3 times now. Obviously it isn't working and I am not sure where to go now. I have met with my instructor after not passing the second time and felt really confident going into it the third time. I as doing good on all of my tests with Kaplan. So if anyone know what I should do now please help. I am looking for a job right now doing anything, because we need extra money coming in. I am married with a 3 year old and christmas is coming up. I so wish I would have passed so I wouldn't have to worry about finding a min. wage job to just try and get by.

I don't have my candidate performance yet, I just took the exam yesterday nov. 22 and they said it will take 2weeks before I get my results. But I'm certain that I failed it coz no one in this site ever mentioned that they have a bad pop up but they passed. Yes that's the spirit right there, there are some that took them 3 or more times to pass the exam. We can do this, GOD will give this to us coz we've been wanting this, he's just making us more efficient and be more knowledgable to be an effective nurses! :) smile. I am planning to take the exam again next year by February. Goodluck to us.

I also took NCLEX 3 tmes and have yet to pass...and I gaduated in May '09.

I feel like the biggest failure ever! And now I can't take the exam because I'm broke and can't even afford to! To top it all off, I'm unemployed and finding it very difficult to find a job in health care where I am not yet an RN, but I do have a BSN.

This is the worst feeling ever...especially bc eveyone in my class has passed...and I even helped tutor some of them during school!

Anyway, if anyone would like to talk about past experiences, and maybe further successes, I would love to meet other people in similar shoes...!

Also, God has blessed us with a calling and a gift...I truly believe that we just have to trust Him and our knowledge to pass this darn test!

I am also in the sam situation, I have taken it 3 times and have yet to pass and I am set to take it for the 4th time sometime in the next month or 2. My problem is that I live in Utah and after 4 tries at the NCLEX-RN, if you dont pass, you can NEVER test in the state of Utah for a Utah license EVER AGAIN, they dont offer a remediation class or anything, so I have to pass on the 4th try or I am forced to go out of state to keep trying. I have super bad test anxiety and have gotten some meds to help calm me down so we shall see. I have used LaCharity's delegation book and Saunders and I am considering Lippincotts (idk if this is a good book or not?) and I want to take Hurst review but there are no live ones offered anywhere within 1000 miles of where I live and the online review is 300 and I havent heard good things about the online review. I am just hoping to get through it this last time so that I can get a nursing job! I was forced to get a minimum wage job to help with the bills since my husband is in the military (which doesnt pay good) and the only one working. It is pretty depressing since I have my BSN and cant use it until I pass my boards. We can do this, we got through school and got our BSN so we WILL get through this test!!!!!

I am strongly recommend excel nursing review you can google it

I definitely agree and recommend to enroll at Excell Nursing Review. How can you answer questions if you do not know content? Excell nursing review is pure content and you answer questions at the end. I did Excell just last 11/8-11/17/2010 at Sunnyvale. I self reviewed again for another 2 weeks and took my exam on Dec 3, 2010. 3 days after that...bam! My name shows up in the license verification site :). Check out their site. Hi everyone. I guess it's a little nice to know you are not the only one going through this. I have also failed 3 times. I just paid to take it again, the money was my Christmas gift...so sad! I have now been out of school for a year and a half and feel so pathetic! Almost everyone in my class failed the first time, but I am now the only one who has not passed! I feel like now I don't even know what to do to prepare this time, but I know I can't keep doing this! At this point it is very hard to get motivated to study hard being that I just keep getting letdown, and losing tons of money! but I really want to be a nurse. I wonder if book after book are they all the same?? My last time took me 5 hours all the way to 265. I felt that I really put thought into each question. My results were "near passing" on every section! What does that really mean for me? My friend failed twice and was so unprepared on her 3rd attempt she was going to cancel but missed the 24 hr mark.....she ended up passing! And didn't even study for 2 weeks before! She swears you get a different test each day of the week and some are harder than others. Is this true? Is there a better day to take it on? I don't have the money for a review course that won't offer me a guarentee and none of them will because I'm out of school too long or it's not my first time. Please help....desperate to pass this test and start my life!!!!

I failed the second time around. Does anybody have any suggestions on what is the "best book to buy". I am now nearing $1000 to pass my board and hoping to be a nurse sooner.

Jessica and Megan.......I too just found out that I failed for the third attempt today. I graduated in May 2010 and cannot pass this dang test! I have completed the Kaplan course and continued with support from them with the many resources they have to offer!!! UUUUGGGHHH!!! I am so upset!

Jessica, Megan, and Hawksgirl....I am in the same situation as the 3 of you....I failed for the 3rd time back in November and I have yet to retake it b/c my anxiety level is through the roof! I have really bad test anxiety and I just cant seem to get through this test! I graduated in May 2010 with my BSN and cannot get a job either, so I feel your pain! I took Kaplan right after I graduated and it was a total joke! I am now using Exam cram and LaCharity!
