  1. Hello. I just finally passed my boards! So happy and eager to start my career. I have been out of school for over a year. I am wondering on interviews will they be asking why I am applying for my first job so long after school? Will they want to know why I couldn't pass my boards sooner? So nervous about everything right now!
  2. Hello...I have a post on the previous page, same thing failed 3 times not sure what to even do at this point. Just want to be a nurse and begin my life already! My last results were near passing on every section. It is so frustrating that this test is dictatating our lives! I read somewhere about using saunders 4th edition, which is what I am doing now. It said to go through the book doing the questions at the end of each chapter. If you don't get at least a 75% go back and read the chapter and do the questions again. I used exam cram and I think it hurt me more than helped, the cd anyways. It kept repeating questions way too often and got me in the habit of just picking the right answers. Any suggestions please help! thanks!
  3. Has anyone used rnquiz.com?? It is only $49.95...actually an affordable review. Please advise
  4. Hi everyone. I guess it's a little nice to know you are not the only one going through this. I have also failed 3 times. I just paid to take it again, the money was my Christmas gift...so sad! I have now been out of school for a year and a half and feel so pathetic! Almost everyone in my class failed the first time, but I am now the only one who has not passed! I feel like now I don't even know what to do to prepare this time, but I know I can't keep doing this! At this point it is very hard to get motivated to study hard being that I just keep getting letdown, and losing tons of money! but I really want to be a nurse. I wonder if book after book are they all the same?? My last time took me 5 hours all the way to 265. I felt that I really put thought into each question. My results were "near passing" on every section! What does that really mean for me? My friend failed twice and was so unprepared on her 3rd attempt she was going to cancel but missed the 24 hr mark.....she ended up passing! And didn't even study for 2 weeks before! She swears you get a different test each day of the week and some are harder than others. Is this true? Is there a better day to take it on? I don't have the money for a review course that won't offer me a guarentee and none of them will because I'm out of school too long or it's not my first time. Please help....desperate to pass this test and start my life!!!!
  5. jadu.....you said this was your 6th time testing? I have taken the test 3 times already. Can you please tell me what you did to prepare this time? And what you think made you successful on this attempt? Please need help!
  6. I think a part of my problem was I focused on one book. Pearson's exam cram cd. I thought it helped and I was learning from it but it got to the point where it just kept repeating questions over and over again, I think that hurt me. So nobody really thinks it matters which editions of different books or anything like that? For instance, nclex 4000 was mentioned and I have nclex 3500. Also, how many questions are you supposed to do in order to really be "prepared" for the test....I have heard many different things. Thanks for the help.
  7. I feel the same way about failing....yet again. this was my 3rd time, although i consider it my second. now i feel like i will never pass because there system just already thinks i'm stupid! another 45 days but what do i do.....just keep trying? i felt so different this time i thought i passed! i had 75 ques the first times so i obviously did horrible. this time i had 175! my quick results are ready now but i dont want to pay since i am not getting the good pop up!
  8. I believe i have just failed nclex for the 3rd time because i am not getting the good popup. i consider it my second because the first time i never even opened a book i just waitied to long to take it. the second time i found out the night before that my gram had passed away. not saying that is an excuse, but it would have been nice to reschedule but it was too late. i did study for the second time but i only used questions from the books, i never put the cds in. the 3rd time, friday, i had been studying for 2 months doing the cds on the computer. i felt so much more relaxed trying to picture myself at home. i mostly used pearson's exam cram where you do adaptive drills until you reach 75%, 85%, and finally 95% before taking the stimulated exam. i did all of that and got excellent twice out of poor, below average, average, above average, and excellent. i am so saddened and depressed after not passing this time. i had a positive attitude and felt so much better answering the questions this time. now i have to wait again to take it which brings me around to graduating a yr ago! how can i get over this and move on from here? i have tons of different nclex books from friends but i don't know how to prepare this time when i thought i did everything the right way and still failed. sorry this is so long but can someone please help me??
  9. it said there is an open registration at this time....one cannot be created...but it said delivery successful, and now i am able to go to the credit card page. I am already preparing that i failed, just so depressed....
  10. you read somewhere that someone got to the cc screen and still passed? this is so insane i feel like i am going crazy! this is my third time taking this test, i consider it second bc i did not study at all the first time. i feel like my whole life is on hold. i did the trick about a half hr after i got home from the test and checked probably another 6 times after that the latest was about 2 1/2 hrs after my test. from the very first time it said delivery successful. i felt very positive after my test and especially after this trick. a few hrs after that and up until right now it takes me to the credit card screen. it also says that the pearson site is scheduled to be down from tomorrow night till sunday night. don't think i can take this agony much longer........
  11. the beachone.....did you pass or fail when it said open registration?? that is what i got but it said delivery successful the whole time i was receiving that popop! please help
