failed nclex-pn 2x- how can i pass it next time?

Published

hello everyone:)...im new to this site...i have read some of the post that alot of people failed the nclex-pn several times....which what i am going through right now. i just took my 2nd time not to long ago and i did the pvt trick thing and from there on i found out that i failed....(again). argh!!!...i was heart broken...i felt like everything that i worked hard for just went crushing down my head...now i dont know how i will get back into it again and i dont know how else to study for this test...i need help and suggestions on what else i can do to pass the next time...help please.........i used saunders, some of the ati books, kaplan and some text books from my school...what else is out there?? what am i missing??....

relax....take a deep breath and try to analyze what area you are WEAK in. Is it content? Or answering test questions.....once you do that then u can better plan your study... also get the DETAILED test plan of the nclex to better guide your study...i find it funny that many students dont utilize the nclex detailed test plan to guide their study...... Another thing is do a diagnostic test and find out what sections you are weak in...do the diagnostic test under exam conditions so that it will show your true ability and that will guide the study...... use 2 to 3 resourses.....do as many comprehensive tests and whatever you are weak in...study that material again....and pray...pray...pray asking the LORD for wisdom-knowledge-understanding....

Thank you for the comment and suggestions:)

Approach studying this time as if you had never tested before. You do not want to skip or gloss over anything because your mind is trying to trick you into believing you already know it.

Thank you caliotter3 :)

grumpee27, I am in the same boat... I will get my ATT for my 3rd attempt on the NCLEX PN wednesday. I am going to schedule for early June. I really like Vipermed.com and if you have an iphone there is an app by upward mobility for nclex pn its like $7.00 and really good for on the go and to use during lunch breaks or what not rather then bring all the books around. With all that I have read the most I can say is we need to read the areas we are weak in and just keep practicing. We will past this test! Good luck!

Hi meganmmann!!!..it's really tough to get back on it again after the disappointment:(, but we just have to keep moving forward and try even harder for the next time..yeh I used to have that app but I deleted it..now I just take my reviewer and books wherever I go..lol..well..goodluck to you and let me know how u did...

Hello. Im in the same boat as you.... :crying2: I still feel bad... I take the test again real soon and like you im new to this site. I failed my test twice and bothtimes i study so wrong.... I wasnt focus. I just thinking what am i doing wrong... But i have to stop thinking like that. And focus on the one goal PASSING. And i want you to think like that never give up. Im using exam cram I do 200 questions everyday and go over my study guide every day. Its pretty helpful. I wish you all the best of luck. I know i need it... LOL :nurse::[anb]:

Hi lilady5!!...yeh we need to think positive and we need to keep moving forward...goodluck on your upcoming test!!...let me know how u did...we can do

This !!...we came this far...

I failed too...what to do?

i'm gonna take mine in august and that will be my 1st time taking the test after almost 2 yrs off school. i tried to start a study group for the pn's test takers but it didn't go so well, but it seems like when the rn's start their study group it worked but when its the pn's never worked, i don't know if the rn's are more dedicated to pass the test than the lpns or what, let me know if you guys want to start a study group or not cuz when you study in groups its good bcuz if we lack or forget something we could learn it from each other, we could share notes and other study skills. :)

Hey guys Im also in the same situation. You right the main thing is to stay positive about the whole situation. What books are you guys using to study for the nclex?
