So sorry. I used the Kaplan book it really helped with critical thinking. Getting used to breaking down the questions and strategy. I also started to really review my notes from class and some of my text books.

Good luck. Stay focused it's easy to stray at this point.

i am sorry to hear you failed.kaplan is good. do alot of questions posibly 2000 or more for next time. i hear that ATI review modules are wonderful.better luck next time!

dear hoahong

are you in the so cal area? if you are i hear there's a free review class. let me know if you are interested

yes , i'm in so cal area. could you give the name of the review class, thank a lot

I liked NCSBN and Kaplan's Q-bank, I found them most like the actual NCLEX but then again, I can't give advice because I don't know if I passed the NCLEX myself but if I have to do it again I will just subscribe to NCSBN and Kaplan again just because I found the questions so similar...

I failed my NCLEX, and I feel horrible. I just started my nurse internship and now I guess I have to step down after just two weeks. I can go back to my other position I had in the hospital. This is so embarassing. I got 265 questions and almost passed. I just feel like WHY WHY WHY?:banghead: Has anyone ever started a nurse internship and not passed boards after accepting the position. I am sure there is but right now I feel so exhausted and stressed out.

yea i was in the same situation as you. i failed my 1st attempt in feb '07, just 4 weeks after i started my internship program. i had the option of staying in the program to just attend the lecture classes and then following around a nurse and just observing...i could assess, but the nurse would assess with me so that she could finish the computer charting. to make matters worse, my internship was on the same floor where i worked as a unit sec. soon after i just went back to my old position. i have since tested 2 more times and both have been unsuccessful. thats not to say you won't pass, i am sure you will when you retest!

p.s i took a big pay cut and i already started enjoying the big $$$ paychecks. maybe one day soon i will start to see them again once i pass the exam.

best wishes to you as you prepare to retest!
