  1. you dont want to know! i had already had my fingerprints done when i was back in school, around early april. i took my boards first week of june and expected my liscence before june ran out. i did not know that the criminal history review unit had some how lost my prints. it was a long ordeal . To cut the long story short , i had to get refingerprinted at my own expense. less than two weeks after my finger print , in july, i got a letter with a liscense number. my liscence was to follow two weeks after. just make sure the board of nursing has everything on file: completion of your background check, copy of social security card etc. it takes about 3 weeks to a month. if your situation is uncomplicated. i still havent found a good job yet. i've had offers of every other weekend, perdiem or plain just, "we dont want to hire a new nurse. come back when you have experience." like experience is going to fall from the sky. good luck!
  2. i am new lpn in jersey also,i do have my liscence though. i know that most places wont hire lpn's without a liscence number.
  3. this reply is for 3kittiesRn, i did pass the nclex. i am currently job hunting. most places i've been to do not want to hire nurses fresh out of school.
  4. i am sorry to hear you failed.kaplan is good. do alot of questions posibly 2000 or more for next time. i hear that ATI review modules are wonderful.better luck next time!
  5. it was a nail bitting 49 hours, but i finally received my results on line. i passed my nclex pn. i was nervous because the computer shut off on me at 85 questions. i had many sata and i was sure i failed pretty much all of them. i thank God, because it was only through him that i passed. i thank you all on this website because your encouragement and your own life stories saw me through this 49 hours.
  6. i took the nclex pn yesterday afternoon. it seemed hard. i had 12 or more select all that apply. the computer shut off at 85. i was so devastated. i have been checking the results website all day. i am worried!
