I don't know if my posting went on. Sorry if my postings comes on twice. Well. I failed my CRNE twice. I really thought at both times that I had passed. I am failing by a few points. And wondering if anyone could give me further advice.

I studied with the CRNE prep guide. I thought it would of been sufficient enough. But I guess it wasn't, on my case. I know it's easier for some to pass and while others it's a challenge. In Nursing school; I did well. B+ to A's....so I am wondering, whats wrong with me>>>

Pressure is on for me; this will be my last time to write it. So any advice will help me. I plan to write in June or August.

I failed my CRNE last october and rewriting it this wednesday. I failed last time by 24 points. My heart is racing just thinking about it. Somehow I feel that no matter how much I study...I just can't tackle the exam. My marks are usually between b+ to a's...so i don't know what is wrong with me as well. The damn short answers screw everything up!

There's nothing wrong with you. It's the exam! It doesn't test nursing knowledge or clinical skill, it tests your ability to regurgitate esoterica.

Hi

I passed the June 2007 exam :monkeydance:

I failed the Feb 2007 exam and was very depressed. But with Prayers, and motivation from my peers and teachers i made it.

Some tips for ya'll:

(1) Get the CRNE prep guide 2nd edition (copies should be available in Public Libraries) , 3rd, 4th, and Mosby's book.

(2) Take online CRNE Test

(3) Two weeks before exam, start attempting all the tests from the above listed books; for each mock test sit as if it was a 6 hour exam; Continue till a day before exam and don't do anything a day before exam, just meditate.

(4) In the exam, divide exam questions/time into two sections so that by half time you should have done half of the exam. Better than checking your watch every 10 minutes.

The key to passing - smart practice and pacing yourself.

Follow above tips, and you won't ever fail.

Good Luck to all.

Hi... You see, I really want to work in Canada or US. I'm just wondering why a Filipino who wants to work in Canada have to study 2 years just because we only have 6 years in Elementary.... I read about it from other forum and from my friend as well.

lenjoy - then u got your facts wrong..my husband and i works here in Canada witout going thru that schooling.

to set the record straight - despite our BSN degree - IT IS NOT considered to be equivalent to BSN here in Canada due to the reason that u mentioned.. BUT we can work as nurses still.

Not TRUE... mine was assessed by CRNBC and everything was fine. :D

Actually it is true. The province of Alberta has concerns about the BScN issued by the Phillipines and there have been difficulties in Ontario with the years of completed education.

Hi guys. I have read that overseas nurses are only allowed to take CRNE thrice. Is this true? If yes, does this also apply to those who are educated in Canada and a resident of Canada?

It actually applies to anyone, you get three chances at the CRNE; it not passed during that time, then you will not be able to get licensed without repeating nursing school. And it applies to Canadian citizens as well.

For the foreign nurse, it means that there visa will be cancelled and they will have to leave Canada, this is why it is so important to pass it right from the start.

This is also in effect in several states in the US as well.

Canada is smart, if you can't pass after your third time the person is not getting the material. I don't understand if you can't pass the test then you shouldn't be licensed.
