Retake NCLEX
Hi! I have a question... I know there is 45 days provision retake policy which means I can't take the exam until the 45 days is over But the retake application form that I have to submit to the CA BON... Should I also wait for 45 days to be over before I file?

California for initial licensure not recommended unless one has VISA
Please advise... I recently received my result after taking NCLEX last Dec 27. Sad to say I did not pass... I would like to know what are my best options. Since I did some reading, California will not issue a license to me if ever i pass since I am a foreign graduate and does not hold a ssn and I also read that California is not the best option for foreign nurses. My original plan is if ever i pass my nclex. I will apply licensure by examination here in Texas where majority of my family now residing and ask California BON to forward my NCLEX results to Texas as said in this thread. My target state right now is Texas. Since I didn't pass, what can you guys advise me? I dont want to come to the point that my files will be destroyed if I won't be able to provide a ssn in 3 years since retrogression is forseen for like 5 years. I am trying to research about this yet I can't seem to find answers that will satisfy my questions. Anything will be very much appreciated Thank you very much

What are your plans as a RN?
I plan to gain experience first after passing the Nursing licensure examination for a year or two. As I am working, I will prepare all the necessary examinations and papers needed to be able to apply in the United States. Taking NCLEX, CGFNS, IELTS and visa screen. When everything is prepared, I will personally go to the US since I hold a tourist visa so I can personally see the situation and try to find an employer who will sponsor me. If things goes wrong, I will fly back to my country and find an agency to help me or try to have a plan B like trying for Canada Or UK. But everything is still depends on that present situation and outcomes but this is all my plan for now.
