Everyone Starting Nursing Courses Fall 2010

Published

I know it's a little early to be starting this thread since most people have just applied and all but I've been waiting to start this FOREVER. On tuesday I register for my last four pre-reqs. It took me three years to get all of them done for my BSN program. I'm taking my HESI A2 entrance test in January which I'm studying for right now, but I'm so anxious to get the rest of this semester and next semester over with.

Hopefully we'll keep this thread going until next May or June when everyone has their acceptances and start getting their infomation folders and what not. :yeah:

Applying this spring for Fall10. CSUS or SFSU hopeful! finishing up with Micro this semester! goodluck to all!

Specializes in student; help!.

I start this fall and I'm already freaking out because my school doesn't have the book list out yet. Somebody stop me. I did find out they should have it out in April, and I'm trying to decide if I should start buying them early or not. I'd love to spread the cost out over the course of the year instead of dropping a grand all at once. OTOH, what if they decide to change an edition or author?

On the plus side, I found day care for the kids and it's walking distance from our house!

I finally sent my nursing school apps in this week! Now I just have to wait to hear back. I feel like it has already been forever, haha. Finishing pre-reqs this spring.. stats sociology and chemistry and micro over the summer. I am also getting my CNA this spring, hopefully class will help keep my mind off waiting!

Good luck to everyone else waiting to hear back too! (:

I recently found out that I have 8 points total after taking the Allied Health Test for CCP. Does that guarantee me a seat in the 2010 class at CCP? Thanks

:yelclap:I dropped off my application at the beginning of January and will prayerfully start the program this fall. We don't have a definite on when we'll get acceptance letter but it seems like it will be anywhere form about April-June. I have my B.S. in Health Care Management and, although I had a slight feeling this would happen in undergrad which is why I switched my major from Business Administration, I really dislike corporate America. I want to do something meaningful and want to help people and I don't want to sit behind a desk for forty hours a week looking at the three walls in my cubicle. But I digress, nursing school here I come (prayerfully :))!

:D I applied Jan 4, 2010 the first day it was open. I got an email yesterday letting me know that my application has been received and I will get another email after Feb 15, which is the application deadline, to let me know about taking the TEAS test. I am nervous about everything. I really hope that i get accepted. :uhoh3: I have read that you have to register for the TEAS test before the application deadline or it will not count, but if that is true why would i get an email telling me they will let me know after the deadline? I know it take a while afterwards to find out if you are accepted. It is going to feel like a lifetime!!

Bumping this up since people are starting to get acceptance letters!

I'm taking my HESI entrance next week so I can register for nursing classes in the third week of March!

I applied to a few nursing programs around Thanksgiving time and I got an acceptance letter from my first choice school at the beginning of february. Im so excited!

I just got my acceptance letter!!!!!!OMG, i am soo super happy!

I also recently receive my acceptance letter (last weekend) from my first choice school, a diploma program!

Congrats to those who have already been accepted... we've all worked so hard!

Good luck to all those who are still waiting to hear! Fingers crossed, and toes too!! :D

I wish everyone who had a strong desire to be a nurse could be accepted... but alas, it seems like it is so competitive these days.

To DiLogan - I just got into CCP with a 7, and I applied right before Thanksgiving, so I'm sure you're good. Did you find out yet???

I sent my application in in January 2010 (the deadline being Feb 1st) and got my acceptance letter on February 18th! I will be starting in my school of choice's (the school I have been taking basically all my pre-req's at) fall 2010 RN program. I'll be earning my AAS and then working as a nurse, while going part time for my BSN after! Congrats to all who have been accepted and good luck to those who are still waiting!
