I know it's a little early to be starting this thread since most people have just applied and all but I've been waiting to start this FOREVER. On tuesday I register for my last four pre-reqs. It took me three years to get all of them done for my BSN program. I'm taking my HESI A2 entrance test in January which I'm studying for right now, but I'm so anxious to get the rest of this semester and next semester over with.
Hopefully we'll keep this thread going until next May or June when everyone has their acceptances and start getting their infomation folders and what not.
Hi everyone! I'm going to revive this thread by announcing that I just got my letter yesterday and I got in :):) Anyone who got accepted have any idea what their classes are for the first semester? The college I'm going to requires me to do a few non-nursing classes (english, humanities, french, and complementary courses), but I went to college for a year and a half already so I have some of them, which is great since it allows me to work on nursing specific classes more. But by the looks of it, I only have 3 classes for my first semester: Knowledge (which is a humanities class), then my two nursing classes: Human Body I and Nursing I (clinical). Normally I would have 3 more classes, non-related to nursing, but like I said I took them already. But either way, it seems odd to me that I only have 2 nursing classes in the first semester... does that seem weird to anyone else?P.S. Congrats to anyone else who got in
:D
With all of my old classes I transferred in with, I only have one class first semester. I will be have Nursing I with Lab. I have only three non-nursing classes left to take, and four semesters to take them in! I'm hoping that it'll be a good thing, to be better able to focus on nursing theory and practice.
I got my letter last week! I have ALL my pre-reqs finished, so it's only nursing classes for me. The class I have 1st semester is 8 credit hours. I can do this! Can't wait until August!

NOTHING! Well, no classes anyway. I'll still have work that I'll need to do.
I have all of my pre reqs finished as well. So first semester I will be taking "Clinical Concepts for Nursing Practice", "Health Assessment", and "Foundations for Nursing Practice" w/ clinical. Thats a total of 8 credits.
I still dont know which school I will be attending yet (grateful that I got accepted to more than one school), but thats the schedule for the school Im leaning towards.
My tentative schedule is
M/Th 0830-1130 skills/lab
M 1230-1430 fundamentals (should it be FUNdamentals or fundaMENTALS?)
M-F pharm (online if I get lucky)
T 830-1430/Th 1500-2100
Friday is orientation and registration, I imagine, so I'll know for sure then. After Friday I can go buy my equipment, yay! I'm such a gear geek it's embarrassing.
I have 9 cr this semester and third, I think 11 second and fourth. I honestly can't imagine doing this without all the general ed stuff out of the way. Core classes are more than enough for my monkey mind.

Well, I just went off what I'd choose, if I get to. A friend in another program doesn't get to at all. She just gets a schedule and that's that. Ish.
I'm torn between being excited and terrified. And it's not even the start of the semester yet!
