I've been wondering where Esme is, thinking maybe I just haven't been traveling the same threads as her. Just now I decided to stop waiting to see her around, and searched for her. She hasn't posted since March 6th. I'm going to PM her as well, but in case I don't hear back, is Esme okay? Anyone know her in real life?
My great-grandmother would always bake a cake for convalescents. She said it was needed for "strengthening." She wouldn't let the kids eat any, either. Here is something similar to what she would make:

Hope it works!
The first word in the name of that cake is BOURBON, so clearly it's medicinal.
Since Esme is not up to posting, I thought you might like a dose of Esme through an article she wrote last year for Nurses Week. Many of you could write a story about how Esme has impacted you..
