Greetings everyone:
I just sent in my application for Emory University for next year. I was wondering if anyone else has applied or are planning to apply. Currently, I am taking classes at GPC. I would love to start a little support group. If anyone is a student at Emory and would like to offer some advice it would be much appreciated too. Good luck everyone!

Thanks for the information. Can you tell us a little bit about your admission process. I think we are all on pins and needles right now waiting. How do you like the program so far? What is the financial aid like? Thanks again for everything and congratulations on almost being done! :)
@hereicome When you called the admission office, did you speak to the admission advisor? I am still confused. On the website I see that it states people who studies in english and used english textbooks did not require TOFEL but when I emailed they didn't mention anything about that. Maybe I should emailed them and ask again.
The person i spoke to said only people from the list of countries they have (Canada, South Africa.... ) who studied in English were considered. I called again and the person i spoke to told me they will review that again and i should call may be Monday. I sent an email to both admissions and opus and attached the toefl requirements and i am still waiting for the reply. For the mean time, i just went ahead and ordered a copy of my score to be sent to Emory. My problem is how long it might take. For now i just have to wait till Monday.
Turned my app in yesterday. Now the waiting beings. I wish the best of luck to all of you. It would be pretty interesting if we all got in and went through nursing school together. And we would look back and say that we all met on allnurses.
Hopefully we can all do this in a few weeks.
@hereicome I am just wondering about one more thing.. when Emory told you they will waive the TOEFL score did they give you a reason or anything? I want to call them when I get off work but I wonder if they will be closed. Do you also know if you spoke to an admission advisor? Thanks! =)
@hlee . No my country was not on the list. I got a reply to my mail today that the Toefl has been waived. I think you just have to show them that you studied in English.
They are very understanding and willing to work with the applicants situations. I had other problems with my application and I called and was directed to someone who helped with resolve everything.
@TDash- I applied to the ABSN/MSN program.. have you heard anything? I'm confused because for the longest time I had 0 "To-Do" on my OPUS information, and now it says 2 to-do items "initiated" which are the two remaining pre-reqs I'm going to take. Have you heard anything? Has anything changed for you?

Hello Everyone!!
I am a Senior in the BSN program. If you take a look at last year's thread it may be helpful in answering some of your questions. If you google "all nurses emory fall 2010" it should pull up. Good luck to everyone!! You have applied to a great program!!
