Emory applicant for 2011

"initiated" just means that they have your application. When Emory receives your information, it is then removed from the to do list. If there is anything on there that you've sent in, then you should call admissions and find out. Emory posts information pretty quickly online. Good luck everyone. I hope we still find out February 15th.

hlee and hereicome-Did ya'll get all your information updated on OPUS?

So I guess we're down to less than a month now. Has anyone heard anything? Hope everyone is well. Started classes today and am already tired. A 3 hour Anatomy class at 7am may not have been the best idea :)

My information has not been updated on OPUS. I was told to give the admission office a couple of days since yesterday was the first day back for them. I'm checking it every hour! As for my transcript, I sent in my request to GPC so.. I'm just hoping it's processing and being sent..

Mine has not been updated too. They told me on Monday it might take up to two weeks. I'm so scared because i don't want the admission committee to meet before my file shows complete. I might not be competitive enough for the remaining spaces left, but as of now, i'm just staying positive. Williamhart1984 thanks for asking.

@ williamhart1984: I am working right up to the deadline. I already sent my transcripts, but I am revising my personal statement. I took the extra time to work on my other applications this week so I am finishing with Emory's app.

Hope all is well with you. I can't wait to hear back from them. A little anxious, but excited. The more I talk to people who went to Emory the more I want to go. Everyone talks so highly of the program and faculty.

@hlee.. Have you checked your OPUS yet? Mine was updated yesterday, but with a new requirement. I need to submit a Toefl(Test of English as a foreign language) test score because my native language is not English. I now wonder how long that will take to get to them.

Is anyone here taking prereqs at Gwinnett Tech?

@hereicome. Same here! Mine was updated but they now need my TOEFL score. I am so bummed because I have not taken TOEFL.

I haven't had this problem before. When I first enrolled in GPC they asked me to submit a TOEFL score but if I have not taken the TOEFL they said the writing or reading ( not sure which) on the SAT will replace it. I looked into the test and the earliest day I can register is 1/29/11 and by the time I get my scores in it will be Feb. I don't know what to do. I am so upset! =(

@hlee. I know how you feel. I wonder why they had to wait till the last minute to bring that up. I called the admissions office about trice yesterday because the Toefl requirement said people who studied in english and used english textbooks did not require toefl. I was told it doesn't apply to my country. I still have to confirm that. I sent some emails and i'm waiting for the reply. The only good thing is i had taken the test more than a yr ago, but it might not get to emory until after next week. Just keeping my fingers crossed. I think you should contact them and hear what they have to say.

What did you get on the TEAS for Kennesaw I took Thursday and made 75.3 thinking about retaking Monday.
