Emory applicant for 2011

Greetings everyone:

I just sent in my application for Emory University for next year. I was wondering if anyone else has applied or are planning to apply. Currently, I am taking classes at GPC. I would love to start a little support group. If anyone is a student at Emory and would like to offer some advice it would be much appreciated too. Good luck everyone!

Oh, I am really hoping they extend the deadline as apparently my references need it. Emory has extended the deadline for general undergraduate admissions, but I don't see anything yet on the nursing school.

Is the weather better in Atlanta? Anyone think the school is likely to be open tomorrow?

I don't think that Emory will be open tomorrow. We still have a lot of ice on the ground and my school has delayed opening until next week. As far as I can tell, most schools in the Atlanta area will not open again until next Tuesday.

I agree that the schools will prob be closed @ william... I am glad you and I got everything in early so we didn't run into this trouble this week!

I wouldn't be able to handle the stress of depending on the postal service now. We haven't gotten mail all week at my home. I'm not sure if Emory will extend it's deadline but I hope it doesn't affect the date that letters go out.

Well it's not even about the mail! It is about the schools being open to send out the transcripts and what not! I am just glad I did it in december because I would be STRESSED out right now lol

Have you taken the TEAS yet for other schools that you are applying to? I have a Mcgraw Nursing School entrance exam book on pdf if you want it! It helped out a lot!

What other schools are you applying to? I've been accepted into KSU's program but am waiting to see if I can start into Emory's which would be ideal!

At least you have Kennesaw as a back-up. I haven't applied anywhere else right now. I'm going to wait until after I find out about Emory. I am also applying to Respiratory Therapy school at GSU but don't have to have any information in until May. Ultimately, I would like to apply to Emory's PA program so whatever it takes for me to get there. I have a few other options that I'm looking at right now but I don't want to jinx myself. I'm not sure when I got so superstitious. Are you on facebook creece?

The application deadline has been extended to 1/22. So hopefully that won't add to the wait too much!

The status for my required documents all show ''initiated'' I don't know what that means. I thought it will show received or something i can better understand. Now I don't know if my documents have been received already coz I just requested my transcript online last week.

I have 7 things on my to do list. They are all initiated as well. I don't understand, I paid my $50 fee, sent in my resume, and my essay but they are showing as initiated. Maybe its not updated yet...
