  1. Hello breezy7. I just started my traditional program this semester and during orientation our advisors did tell us if you don't have a car, you should really get close to your classmates and someone who will be in your clinical. We get assigned to clinicals randomly. ( Not randomly because the advisor and falculty assign you but they match your schedule and other things. im not sure how it exactly because I am starting clinical in the fall.) Anyways, they said some sites might not have access to marta and such things so you will need to carpool. Also, I am only taking 3 classes this semester because I am in the traditional program and have most of my pre-req done( eng, foreign language, pols and such things) I go to school only 2x this semester. But I was looking at last years fall schedule to get an idea of my fall schedule coming up and it will get a lot busier even though I am traditional program i think i will have classes most of the days ( at least 3x a week plus clinicals) As far as Ace program students I believe they are taking 4 or 5 classes with skills lab and clinicals this semester. Again, not sure about ace program because Im in the trad. Sorry if this was too long. I hope this helps! Good luck!!
  2. I don't think you need to take the courses over again. The only course you HAVE to take at GSU are the Human devp and communication/cultural diversity class. Other courses like HIST POLS ENGL classes will transfer. I am guessing you'll have a lighter load than your other trad nursing classmates. I am starting Trad program this coming spring so I will start in a week! I already have all my classes( HIST, ENGL, PHIL, POLS, and etc..)finished as well, expect for the two that are required to take at GSU.
  3. The program is 3 years long. Traditional students do not take summer classes. And during your senior year you can apply to combine semester 5 and 6 and may finish in 2 1/2 years.
  4. It is in Gainesville.
  5. Hi. Have you thought about attending Part time program? Brenau has a part time program which I believe is tuesday and thursday night for lecture and weekend for clinical. Brenau is the only program I know that has a part time program. Part time programs start in January every year. Good luck!!! =)
  6. Has all accepted students finish their requirements yet? How about financial aid? I am a transfer student and I have to wait until my final transcript is sent to them for HOPE.
  7. Im in the Trad! The PINS review now has 67 !
  8. Congrats alinaxa !!! I took the PINS quiz yesterday and after about an hour I could register !! Are you in the trad program or ace ??
  9. Alliecares, My program gpa was not as high as the average but my teas was!
  10. I'll keep checking throughout the week to see if student numbers go up in PINS review! Also, I see that admission stats are up for Spring 2012 on GSU website!
  11. I have to return the acceptance form by the 18th. I went by the office this morning and dropped it off. On the PINS I think there are 65 but I am not sure how many are instructors. Hope this helps!
  12. Please dont lose hope!! I heard the last letters went out Thursday of last week. We know the post office wasn't open friday so I'm thinking people will get their letters by Wednesday, depending where you live. Don't lose faith!!!
  13. Congrats Mom2011! I also received my acceptance letter into the traditional program today!!!! I got my letter and was so nervous.... I felt the envelope and it was a little thick...I couldn't believe it.. I remember what yayaccepted had told us about the letter being a little thick because it will contain some info about the program... I ripped it open and couldn't believe my eyes!! I was so sure I would either get on a waiting list or get rejected... Good luck everyone and hang in there!! My letter was written Nov 8th and the envelope postmarked 9th and just received it today on the 12th!!!
  14. Okay thanks! Im just freaking out! I just re-read your post and yeah i just misunderstood bc I was freaking out lol Good luck!!
