i know some of us have received our letters so i was wondering who else i will be making this journey with for the next 2 years.
my name is allison shaffer and it's nice to meet you. i know we will all be close because it's a small group. it would be nice to get to know some of you before november 17. :)
I am not sure about the advantages, maybe i need to go to El Centro to talk to someone in person, thought you guys might know
It's a good idea to talk to them. Ask about the skills, like urinary cath. in and out, dressing change, NG tube feeding and meds, staple/suture removal, suctioning, etc. If you can do these skills at the hospital for a longer time then go for it. Katie
I just wanted to say that I haven't been on here in a little while.... and it's nice to see that we are all progressing very well!!!It's getting down to the wire, and I'm trying to hold on! I'm taking test 4 on friday, test 5 on 5/5, and my final is on 5/8! Tomorrow is my last day of clinicals.... YAY!!! We've got a cake and cards for each floor that we've worked on. Everyone also chipped in $5 to get my clinical instuctor a gift certificate to Starbucks. I have clinical evaluations next week. Do y'all have that at ECC/NL?
And last but not least.... CONGRATS to the new nursing students!!!

I can certainly say I missed you around here but I know you're busy :)
Our final is on May 5th and then we're DONE! We have evaluations on May 2nd which I hope go okay. I absolutely cannot believe how fast this semester has gone by. I really hope the next ones go by just as fast!
Lex,
Who do you have for Pharm? I am probably going to take that class and would like to know a good teacher in case I do. I have a friend who is taking Patho at Brookhaven and she is struggling with the info. as well.
Amy
I'm taking both Patho and Pharm right now and they require alot of work. I really like Pharm but I think that's because I have a really good teacher. She gives you homework questions that really helps you understand everything.I'm struggling through Patho because there is so much info and I'm having a hard time narrowing it down. The class avg. is 76. I would recommend that you avoid the online option and take the actual class. That's just my humble opinion though.
So today was my last day at clinicals and it went great!!! We started the day off with cake and punch, and left early at 12:00!!!
I also got my major care plan back... and I got a 93!!!! WAHOO!!!!! I worked pretty hard on that thing too..
Well... I should be studying for test 4 tomorrow. Talk to you later!!!
