Just LS3 to go and then FCCA and CPNE!! Time sure does fly!!! Any one at the same point as me? I'm going to be needing a study buddy for CPNE soon!! Let's all support each other through this!!!

Currently reading for LS2, hoping to take both LS2 N LS3 by end of year. Still have Chronocity, Transitional , FCCA n CPNE. Trying to speed up, but afraid of failing any exam. Hoping to finish all theory exams by April 2012. Good luck to everyone on thier exams.

Specializes in Dialysis.

studying (kind of) for LS1, which is my last one before fcca and cpne. Still have to tackle micro and info lit. Want to be CPNE eligible by end of the year.

It's great to hear from everyone!!! I'm hoping to be finished with all but CPNE by end of the year and then hopefully CPNE by spring!!! We're all heading toward the finish line!!!

Currently reading LS1 information, thinking of scheduling the test right after my daughter's wedding the end of October. Then all I will have left is LS2, LS3, the FCCA and the CPNE. Just typing that gives my butterflies!! Good luck everyone.

Specializes in Cardiac.

Well I just paid for LS1 because I just could not get into Repro and Chronicity. Waiting for Pearsonvue to allow me to schedule. I'm going to take it in 2 weeks and then move on to LS2 and LS3. Thinking I'm going to save Repro and Chronicity till last.

Specializes in homecare, rehab,sub acute.

Whoo hoo just passed Health and Safety 20 minutes ago. :yeah:Now on the Repro which I am taking next saturday. So happy to knock another one down !! BTW Studygroup 101 was spot on for this exam, I just loved all the practice quizzes w/ rationales they provided. I also used Saunders. :)

Hi, Just starting out. Studying for HS.

I'm new here. I was wondering how each of you prepare. I bought used text from the recommended list...not all of them, just a few. Have a borrowed study guide. I feel like I am reading in circles. I need a good approach to study. Any suggestions?

Thanks.

OMG, you've been gone for a while!!! Welcome back! :D

And I'm technically still an EC student ... I'm on Week 3 of the first MSN course, all about nursing theory. Oh joy. LOL

Thank you! :)

Can anyone tell me how long it took to prepare for and pass the CPNE?

I plan to complete my remaining exams by December at the latest. With that goal in mind, when can I hope to complete the CPNE?

Specializes in ED.

I've seen it done in three weeks, but the recommended is three months. Good luck!

Specializes in Surgery, Med/Surg/ICU, OB-Peds, Ophth.

It depends somewhat on when you get a date for CPNE. Earlier last Spring, the NPAC (3-4 months) was giving out test dates sooner than the MPAC (4-5 months) but with the MPAC losing 2 more test sites in August (Racine and Milwaukee are now done) more students started to travel to NPAC and the wait list seems about the same (4-5 months). I applied for CPNE at the end of June, waited until August to receive the date of 11/4/2011 and so far, I have not got a cancellation. I know of one person that had a date in December that got a cancel for 11/18 in NPAC, but they really don't seem to turn over too many cancellations. As far as preparing goes, I think that is all very individual as Westpalm LPN recently commented. I have been away from "nursing on the floor" for at least 15 years, so I had a lot of work to do. Good luck!!
