Hi everyone!
I read through posts from previous DUSON ABSN cycles while completing my application and they were very helpful, but I noticed there were no new posts for the current application cycle, so I thought I'd start one.
Just submitted my application and am super nervous!
Anyone else here apply? Let's be antsy together! ?

I think it's different every year, it probably depends on the percentage of people who accept the offer. Like for undergrad admissions, the percent yield of accepted students was 54%, and I'd expect the yield for the nursing school to be either at or below that. This is a weird year though, with higher numbers of nursing school applicants and all that jazz. Anyways, I've heard there's a pretty decent chance overall at getting accepted off the waitlist! I even had a friend accepted off the waitlist for undergrad a few years ago. If I were you, I would definitely stay on the waitlist and continue to demonstrate interest to the admissions office.

The faculty is incredible across the board. Very supportive and open. They truly make you feel like they care about you and they’re fair in terms of tests. Their doors (well, zooms) are always open and anything you need help with they are willing to give extra time to. The Clinical Instructors are the same. Everyone is just really friendly. At the root of it we all have the same goal: we want to become well-trained nurses and they want us to be well-trained nurses by the end of the program.
I think the program is well organized in terms of curriculum. They say a lot before the program begins ‘trust the process,’ which felt overwhelming. But now that I’m in it, I totally get what they mean. Overall, I’m incredibly happy with my choice.
Thank you for sharing!! I'm anxiously waiting on financial aid/scholarship decisions, so I'm curious about how you and other students are affording the program. Are you mostly relying on loans or paying out of pocket? The PDF they emailed me gave a cost breakdown of $92,964 for just tuition. ?
