Published

Hi everyone!

I read through posts from previous DUSON ABSN cycles while completing my application and they were very helpful, but I noticed there were no new posts for the current application cycle, so I thought I'd start one.

Just submitted my application and am super nervous!

Anyone else here apply? Let's be antsy together! ?

I got in also!!

Does anyone know about decisions for the HEA program?

congratulations to all. I got in as well.

Congrats to everyone who got in! I got waitlisted as well. Still pretty pumped about it, crossing my fingers that I will get off. Hopefully see you guys in the fall!

I was told that they’d tell us whenever decisions come out, but I haven’t been told if I’m admitted to that program or not. Maybe they’ll send us a message later in the day?

I was waitlisted.

Just got accepted! I will be denying my offer since I got accepted into a program that is cheaper and shorter. Good luck to everybody and it was nice knowing you guys!!

I just declined my offer from the waitlist. I hope that helps one of yall get in!! best of luck ❤️

I was also waitlisted! Does anyone know how we can find our position on the waitlist?

Can you share what your first semester is like?  Are the school of nursing staff and faculty supportive of the students?  What do you think of the program so far?  Clinicals?  Labs?

First semester is busy! Keep in mind, it’s an accelerated program so they’re throwing a lot at you at a short amount of time. The faculty is incredible across the board. Very supportive and open. They truly make you feel like they care about you and they’re fair in terms of tests. Their doors (well, zooms) are always open and anything you need help with they are willing to give extra time to. The Clinical Instructors are the same. Everyone is just really friendly. At the root of it we all have the same goal: we want to become well-trained nurses and they want us to be well-trained nurses by the end of the program.

I think the program is well organized in terms of curriculum. They say a lot before the program begins ‘trust the process,’ which felt overwhelming. But now that I’m in it, I totally get what they mean. Overall, I’m incredibly happy with my choice.
