A friend wanted to check on the status of her Florida RN license and discovered that the address she last had while licensed in that state is listed (fortunately she no longer lives there and the address was clear across the country).
What a cool feature for stalkers!
Even if you only know the first name, there's a wild-card search feature so that you can find, say, every "Emily" in the state, then just pick the one in the right town...
This database is downright dangerous!!!

P.S. It's a good idea to check your state for your records:- we also found that a duplicate license was issued for a co-worker who says she has never requested one.

Yes, and it sells the list too...that's how we get all the solicitations from hospitals, CEU providers, etc.

Unbelievable....
I was wondering why I keep receiving those solicitations from local hospitals and nursing facilities. It's disturbing to think that the BON would sell that information without our knowledge or consent. So much for good moral character

I am sure that Pa sells them because of the solicitations. The web site list post office but that is all. I think that is still to much.

That's for everyone except nurses.

On the SC board site it only gives the city if you do a search. It also has the wildcard feature so you could use only a first name and say come up with all the Marys or Susans.
I am equally certain they sell the mailing list. About 10 years ago our attorney general got the drivers license mailing list quashed. I wish they'd do the same for the nursing list.

I guess the rationale is since we hold "public" licenses our address is available to the public as well.

Georgia is guilty as well. It's scary because we wear our full names on our name tags so a vindictive person or psycho has all the info they need to do __________?

Well I guess I am either too dumb to figure out how to get this info on the screen or my state does not give the info on the internet. I do know that they give the info to others r/t publications, etc.

Tennessee provides this information, not only about nurses, but ALL licensed medical people. Many of them have PO boxes or work addresses on the site--at least the ones I looked at (not cause I am a stalker--I'm just curious!)

Good Lord...so that is why I receive all that crap in the mail! Sheeeeeesh! They shouldn't be allowed to do that without our permission.
