Does your facility use PBDS testing?

Hello-

New here and not sure how to make this a sticky or if that would be allowed. I know that this is a volatile topic that has been expanded on somewhat already, but I am really just looking for a simple sticky list of facilities that use it, without lenghty (even though well deserved) editorials attached:chair:.

I am wondering which hospitals require PBDS testing, which travel companies require it and in what capacity does the facility use it? ("merit" raises, new hires, screening tool, hire/fire tool).

If for any reason you can not put down the facility, please put down your location. If over 500 hospitals are using it I imagine that we could end up with a ton of posts....

Since "fore-warned is fore-armed"... I think many of us would like to know in advance whether or not the facility condones using the PBDS and in what capacity as we are choosing whether or not to apply.

So, does your facility use PBDS testing?:nurse:

Never heard of pbds testing. What is it?

I don't know what it is either.

The UPMC hospitals in Pittsburgh use it for new hires ... not sure about ongoing use for merit reviews, etc.

I work at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa and they use PBDS with all new hires.

PBDS is performance-based development systems. I've heard/seen it used after hire to determine the amount and type of orientation needed. Salem Hospital, Legacy Hospitals

Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio

SVI in Little Rock uses it I did just fine but here is my question. I am thinking about traveling and the facility that I want to go to requires PBDS but if I can show that I have taken it before they won't require me to take it. Now here is the kicker my current employer will not let me have my results. Does anyone have a solution to that problem?

Have your prospective employer (the travel company) contact your current employer.

I work in Atlanta Ga and my hospital does use PBDS for all new grads. It is part of the orientation and there is extensive follow up as well.

I Work For A Chi Hospital, Yes We Have Just Implimented Pbds Testing For Ob Nurses Last Year. We Will Be Tested Yearly. We Also Use It For New Hires.

I work for CHI in Kentucky and we use pbds for new hire and have just started in in our OB department, Not sure what the purpose of it is but we use it and have to follow up if we don't score high enough.:uhoh3:
