Do you watch Medical shows?

Hello, fellow nurses!

The other day, I was discussing "ER" with a fellow group of nurses,and most said that they do not watch any medical shows. Most stated that they get enough of it at work. And they also state that most of thes shows are not medical based. In fact, one LVN, stated that "General Hospital" was close enough for her. So, when you come from the job, and peel off the scrubs and clogs, do you kick back with Carter and crew or TLC's medical shows? :confused:

tlc all the way...when I ever have time. When I'm starting an IV an

d my pt asks "have you ever done this before?", I like to reply, "I saw it done once on ER".

YES, I ENJOY WATCHING MEDICAL SHOWS ON TELEVISION WHETHER THEY ARE TRUE TO FORM OR NOT. IT'S ALL ABOUT ENTERTAINMENT AS I SEE IT! ;)

but i like ER also, its fun saying that wouldn't happen or that is wrong......of course my family just hates that!!!

NO, NO, and did I say NOOOO!!??!!

Every tape of 'A Baby Story' should be BURNED. Hate that show. Hate it hate it hate it. Stopped watching 'ER' after I graduated from nsg school 'cuz I screamed 'THAT WOULD NEVER HAPPEN!!' at the t.v. too many times.

I agree w/the folks who say they get enough of it at work. Gimme a good episode of Spongebob Squarepants over Trauma Life in the ER any day of the week.

I watch the dramas but not the real life shows like TLC. I get all tense and stressed just watching them, so prefer to go with something else after work.

hi, my name is shannon and i am a medical show junkie! :D tape er everyweek and watch it after work. love watching tlc...trauma life in the er. however, i don't watch a baby story. maybe if i was an ob nurse i might be more into it. who knows?!

. . . Spongebob Squarepants . . . love that cartoon! Don't watch the Trauma Life shows on TLC, either. . .

(Also love to watch "Cow and Chicken" and "Ed, Edd and Eddy" on the cartoon channel. I draw the line with the "Powder Puff Girls", though. . .) :)
