RNperdiem, RN Has 14 years experience. Nov 23, 2009 1. Undefined job boundaries. I am rarely able to say "not my job". Making sure the doctors, pharmacy, housekeeping, and dietary do their jobs is part of it.(My sister works in x-ray. She has clearly defined boundaries. She also has no charting and sees one patient at a time.)2. Uncertainty. A good day can turn bad very quickly. 0 Likes

Making sure the doctors, pharmacy, housekeeping, and dietary do their jobs is part of it.I totally agree with this!!!#1. Entitled, non-compliant, rude patients and family members. This by far is THE worst part of my job.#2. Working holidays. #3. Being exposed to bodily fluids and illnesses, and risk of injuries to back, shoulders, ect. 0 Likes
